Question about GE E1030 Digital Camera
Do you mean the E1030? What is the operating system on your computer? The cameras are supported by by Windows 2000 and above and would be Plug N Play. If you have Win 98, you will need drivers.
Did you change any of the settings in the camera menu? If so, then reset them by disconnecting the camera from the computer, pressing the Menu button, selecting Setup, scroll up 3 times to Reset Settings, scroll once to the right, select Yes, and then press the Func/Ok button. Connect the camera back to the PC.
Do you have a memory card inserted into the camera? Take it out. Sometimes you will get a faulty SD card.
Did you insert the USB cable into the camera the correct way? It only goes one way and if inserted incorrectly it will permanently damage the USB port on the camera.
