Re: Microwave has no power.

Since you have power going into the cord, there are three things to check next, with reference numbers from the exploded view found via the link below: REF # 1626 internal fuse REF # 1430 magnetorn thermostat REF # 1121 flame sensor If any of these parts is open, you will have a "no power" / "dead" condition. If you or a friend decide to work on it, we have *critical* safety, disassembly, and troubleshooting info at our site, which is linked at our listing here on FixYa: You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number (without the suffix) here:

How to change the fuse (can't figure out how to find it) in our JVM 1860 SF 001 GE microwave? help please

There is a 125V, 20 AMP line fuse inside the microwave. Its usually mounted on a small input line filter board at the point where the power cord enters the back of the unit. You will need to UNPLUG the microwave oven and remove the exterior case to access. The case comes off in various ways depending on manufacture and model. has some excellent exploded view parts illstrations you can use to assist you in component location and assembly:

If the model number is correct, the fuse is listed as item 74 in this parts illustration.

If you have any questions, or need assistance troubleshooting, please post back and let me know. I hope you find this information helpful.

NOTE: Make sure you take any resistance readings with the microwave UNPLUGGED and the component under test isolated (removed) from the circuit.

Microwave stopped working, no more power in it

the dated microwave is beyond repair parts including the case - to find a microwave to fit the old case and vent hole would be impossible - a new microwave is fairly inexpensive and more feasible

JVM convection microwave

I see. Okay, well then I would expect there's a problem with a high voltage part, such as the diode, magnetron or transformer.

Your model number should be entered as JVM192002 and you can find exploded views here.

You can usually find GE parts for much less here.

There should also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting & testing.

Here are some links you or someone you know can use for test help, but read their safety warnings first:
