Question about Philips DVP5960
A pssword is required and I do not have one. How can I remive password requirement?
I found a solution in the manual of your DVD player.
If You dont have the password, or if you forgot it use "136 900" *** the old password and insert a new password. the new password will become active
Here the link: Philips Support
You will need Adobe reader to read the manual.

If you push the eject button so the little lcd screen says open then type in 5168 with your remote. This will take you to a special menu if you go down to ratings then hit enter you can choose the rating you want. You can also set up the password. Default password is 0000. Then hit setup to finish.
