Remove the black panel (mechanism) from the back and chances are you will find a piece of "jammed" paper on the roller. Remove it and replace the black panel. Press OK and wait a minute while it resets itself.

If there is no paper behind the panel or nothing you can see from the front-inside ... then you may have a problem.

Paper jam in this position

Open the machine as if you were putting in a new cartridge and remove the jammed paper. You may have to remove the paper tray or duplexer to find more paper.

Reassemble, don't put so much paper into the tray, make sure the paper isn't curled badly. Generally I put the paper in concave down...it will flatten over time.

Perhaps your paper is curled somewhat and is concave up which is causing the jam.

Xerox Copier 5328 Paper jams where the baffle located. Goes through but does not come out. is

Sounds like a fuser problem. Also, because this is a very old model, constant heat over time can warp plastic paper path guides which will cause strange jamming. These issues hare sometimes hare to pinpoint. Why not get a new copier?

Am repairing a canon ir1020 which shows paper jam for any single copy.though paper is completely delivered out of the fuser ,but the red in response to paper jam still flashes.I need an assistance.

Sounds like the fixing exit sensor flag is missing or broken. I would look into that and just a note... I had a strange jamming problem with one as well. It turned out to be the registration clutch. I cleaned the clutch and it worked......

"P" is blinking in display Sharp AL-1641cs

There is a small white gear that drives the fuser module. It wears out at 30 to 40 thousand pages.
If the sound is a jumping to gringing noise that would be the problem.
That gear jumping will cause the machine to say out of paper,, jam,, give all kinds of problems from things bouncing around.

Keeps telling me to remove back tray as I have a paper jam. No paper jam. Message won't clear and won't let me put in new ink cartridges which it needs....printer is 2 months old....what gives?

You did not post a Make/Model but with many machines they will have a trap door/panel at the rear of the printer. If paper did not pickup from paper tray properly then it will show a jam message that can only be reset by opening the rear door/panel.

Paper ALWAYS jams!

Check if there are any paper leftovers inside the printer from previous printing jobs and make sure there isn't any strange objects that may have fall down in the paper loading tray.
Also put the printer upside down and move it up and down to see if anything that may have fall in the paper path, can get out of the printer.

Doesn't Print - Says "Paper Jam"

That is the problem, machine will show printer jam if paper feed rollers fail to pick up paper when requested, your machine sounds like it needs new paper feed roller or you can clean the paper feed roller with a slightly! damp cloth.

If no jam light shows when power is turn on and machine comes to ready and then you send a job to printer and it then shows jam then it is the feed roller or sometimes the feed clutch

If on the other hand it always show jam then there is or a switch is stuck.
