Question about Jabra BT500 Wireless Headset
I've only had the unit about 1 month. When I first purchased it, I followed the mfg instructions, and paired it w/my Blackberry and all was working properly. I didn't use it for the last couple of weeks, so when I pulled it out again, I plugged it into my laptop via the usb power cord and the red charging light came on briefly, then off. Now, nothing will come on, no charging light, no blue light signal, no green light, nothing. No indication that it is working whatsoever. When I attempt to connect on the Blackberry, it shows 'paired' with the Jabra BT500 but always fails the connection. Any ideas?, or is the unit just fried? Thanks for any help you can offer.

If you can try a different charger, try that. try charging with USB cable if not. Try your charger on another headset if you can. I think the charger is the problem. If no change every way, here is the link to the user manual if you need it; http://www.jabra.com/Sites/Jabra/NA-US/pages/SupportProduct.aspx?productid=3c063d26-e62b-4b4d-9613-c10134a79cf3 Page 7 has the toll-free tech helpline which is probably worth a check in case they have any ideas before opening it up. If still no luck, and you want to open it up, first thing to look for is the battery. check any connectors are on properly. try charging for a while and see if battery gets warm/hot/no change. See if there are any technical specifications or part numbers written on the battery and I can get more info to see if it can be checked and if it is worth replacing. If you have any trouble identifying the battery, try posting back a photo of the inside and we will see what we can do. Hope this helps :)

SOURCE: Jabra 250 Codes
Jabra 250 pairing code is nothing but 0000, however it has to be paired from an external device like a phone or computer.
I mean to say the pairing has to be intiated from the other device not the jabra 250.
hope that helps

I have at work 5 Jabra 150 which I kept in the closet about 2 years .Indeed no longer charges.
The probelm is the rechargeable battery. I spread one and the battery is not the type Li-ion but rather resembled a Pb-acid battery and is dead and.there is nothing you can do.Take a look on picture 8 on this link http://www.instructables.com/id/Jabra-BT-350-Disassembly-and-Repair/. The aluminium part is the accumulator and is sealed .

You have to first put the Headset into discoverable mode. According to the Jabra website, this is done by pressing and holding the end/mute button until the light comes on steady. Follow the procedure for your phone to pair a bluetooth device to it. The PIN code will be 0000.

Have you already tried to put your headset in pairing mode first? Anyway, to do it, starting with it turned off, press and hold the on/off button for some 5 seconds, until the indicator light is steadily lit (it will flash as it was being turned on, but don't release the button at that phase). Then, make your phone's bluetooth application search for new devices. After a while, your headset should appear on-screen. Select it and make it connect. If a pairing code (or PIN, or passkey) is requested, enter '0000' (four zeros);
By the way, if your headset's user guide happens to be missing, feel free to download it from this location.
Hope you are able to sort your problems out.
