My Dell Optiplex GX270 goes into power saver mode

When I try to start my computor it goes into power saver mode. Then I shut down the power supply and try again.
Some times it will start up, but will shut down in power saver mode after a couple of minutes.

This sounds like a bad power supply unit. First check that your Ram and graphics card a free from dust and dirt by removing them from their slots and cleaning them with a dry soft paintbrush then replacing them gently but firmly. Next check that all of the power cables going into the motherboard are pushed in gently but firmly. If this is done and you still get the same problem, then I suggest changing the power supply unit.

If the fan is not spinning this can be the issue ...but it can also be the motherboard itself ..if you have the possibility try to change the fan ..cause if it fails to start the computer will also fail cause the cpu it will shut down the system instantly if it has no cooler working ..(gets to the shut down temperature in one sec or so ) If it seams that it is trying to start ..but , like I said , it shuts down ..just try to change the fan ...but it may be a issue with the power supply or the motherboard as well...

Dell optiplex gx270 shuts down when cpu setting is on normal but runs when on compatible mode

The GX270 has a manufacturers defect with the motherboard. Open up the case and look at the capacitors, they look like a bunch of upsidedown double AA batteries sticking out of the board. The capacitors on the GX270 are bad if you see a crust on them or some kind of brown liquid, DO NOT TOUCH this it is battery acid.

My Dell Optiplex GX270 continues to go into power saver mode.

It turns itself off when there is something wrong with it. You can check the system events from the bios menu why it does that. When it doesn't boot at all check the abcd lights at the back.

Call Dell for support. Looks like something in motherboard detects something (like temperature) then shut down your system.
Probably only need cleaning up inside.
