When you press the SOURCE/( ' ) button and select iPod as the source, make sure you turn on AUX+ so that the external device is used as the source. AUX+ is turned off when you want to use an iPod with this head unit.
I don't know why some people thought to answer your question with an answer based on a different model.
remove the face plate again, in the lower right of the unit there is a tiny reset button (paperclip or pen required)
press this button and see what happens
this will reset all of your radio stations, audio settings and such, but if it works, may save you a trip to your local repair depot..
if this does not work, you probably need to take it to your local repair depot..
Turn the ignition key to on or accessory position, turn the stereo off, then hold the function key for a couple seconds, the stereo will turn on and you scroll through the menu with the left and right arrow buttons and change settings with the up and down buttons
