Question about PNY 2GB microSD Memory Card

1 Answer

I have a PNY MICRO SD 2GB for my Samsung Messenger. When I put the Adapter into the computer it showed some files. One named My_Music. I put a CD in and downloaded the Cd onto the My_Music file. It showed that it existed on the computer, so I took it out and plugged it into my phone. When I went to the Music Player, it showed that there was nothing on it. So I plugged it back in the computer. It still showed that the music was on there. Just to make sure that the whole SD was ruined, I decided to put some photos on the SD. When I plugged it into the phone, all of the pictures showed up but none of the songs did. Any advice?

Hi. Well the problem is that your songs probably aren't recognized as mp3 files. I have a SanDisk micro SD and I downloaded a CD onto on a program such as RealPlayer or Windows Media Player first. Secondly, I dragged the files from there onto my SD. Try this but if this doesn't work then take out your micro SD and format it to your phone. This will end up erasing all that you have on there and possibly require you to do it many times just as I had to do, t eventually mine did work perfectly. I hope this works.

SOURCE: PNY 2GB MICRO SD MEMORY CARD NOT READING!!

In this case, it sounds like the card is bad. All you can do is try to clean the gold fingers with a soft cloth and alcohol, and hope that works. It may have corrupted data on it, and be unusable. The best way to know is to buy another one ($9 at Walmart), and then you will at least verify that your phone and computer are good, and the old card bad. Hope it's just dirty fingers, good luck.

Doesn't show mp3 files on micro sd card

You have to drag and drop only the MP3 files into the music folder. If you have them organized and in folder by artist, drag only the MP3s into the card's Music folder.

Getting music onto my pny micro sd 2gb

You should just have to locate it in "my computer" open it up and drag and drop music files onto it. or just burn them on to it. e.g windows media player. if it wont let you. make sure its not locked by checking the switch on the side. Also ask your friend if he set a pin/password for this micro sd.

PNY MICRO SD 2GB

Files must have the correct extension. i.e. .wav or .mp3 or whatever the music player requires. You may need to convert the sound file to a different type for the device to see it. It may show in one device and not another for this reason

4 GB micro sd and the Sandisk Sansa e250R...

If the 4gb micro SD is a high capacity SD (it will say micro SDHC on it) your player may not be able to read SDHC cards, my sansa can't because it's the 'older version' it will read 2gb and below micro SD cards though (it sucked when I found out because I had just bought a 6gb micro SDHC)
