Question about HP Deskjet D4160 InkJet Photo Printer
I had both black and color ink cartridges refilled at walgreens. now, my computer says that there is a problem with the color cartridge and it won't print. walgreens assured me that this ink was compatible with my printer. they both seem to fit fine,( they are the original cartridges, or so i thought) thanks
Usually, that message means that your cartridge is dead. Try removing it, clean the electric contacts on it and the ones on the cartridge carrier. Put it back in. If that doesn't help, you will need to buy a new color cartridge.
If you do not have a replacement cartridge, you can still print in, what HP calls "ink backup mode". Simply remove the problem cartridge, and print with the remaining one, in this case, the black one.
