I would suggest cleaning your water level sensor, and the plastic cup in which it sits. Once you have done this, turn your machine back on and watch its sequence of operation. Please let me know if this helps.

Chances are the unit is shutting down on an error code. It will shut down after three batches if either A: the unit takes too long to make ice, or B: a harvest cycle lasts too long. You can time a batch of ice with a timer or stopwatch... if you listen you should be able to tell when the "ice making" stops and the "harvesting" begins. Ice making should take about 13-15 minutes and harvesting 1.5 to 2.5 minutes. If I remember correctly the error codes are triggered if the ice making takes 60 minutes or longer and/or the harvest takes 3 minutes or longer. You can tell which error code is tripping by accessing the electronic control board. There is an LED indicator that will blink when you turn the unit on if there is an error present in the memory.
check the cycle time for a batch of ice. should take around 15 minutes to freeze and then you will hear the harvest cycle kick in. If the harvest cycle takes 3 minutes or more that is your problem. You will need to get a hold of NICKEL SAFE ICE MACHINE CLEANER. DO NOT use CLR or any kind of cleaner other than NICKEL SAFE ICE MACHINE CLEANER. If the ice doesn't fall off of the plate in about 90 seconds either the plate is dirty or the nickel plating has come off. There is a failsafe shut down if the unit takes more than 60 minutes to freeze or more than 3 minutes to harvest 3 consecutive times. The cleaning instructions should be inside of one of the covers. If not it's available online.
Based on your finding on your second trip, the machine shut of on one of the safety timeouts that limit the harvest and freeze cycles. Its possible that the evaporator has lost some nickel plating and the ice is hanging, but first the heat build up in the storeroom is a problem if you get running again come back a few hours later and check the ambient temp in the room, its probably above the machine design temp. Can a vent be cut in the ceiling? an exhaust fan to **** that heat away would be good.
The bridge thickness on this model starts with the low pressure cut-in control that then in turn starts the timer. To start with if you have a low pressure gauge that you trust what I do is take all of the time off of the timer and unplug the water pump. Then start the unit and watch the low pressure gauge to see at what pressure the harvest starts. an ICEU220 with R-404A should cut in at 45psi. Once that is set plug the water pump in again, put about 400 seconds on the timer, see how thick the ice is after 2 cycles and adjust as needed.
