I would carefully go over your wiring, especially any you may have disconnected during the head gasket swap, and check for a loose ground first.

If all your connections are good, then take a voltmeter to your battery, see what it's putting out. (If you can load test it, even better). Sometimes, when a battery get's messed up, it'll start overloading and put out too much power, and burn up fuses/wires.

hi,just a thought,if you have had two sets of carbs on it and they have been tuned/balanced and still does it,then it is probably not the carbs causing the problem.check your throttle cable, check it is in good condition with no kinks or tight spots, also check it is not jammed between any other component causing a sticky spot, also, check the freeplay in the cable, you should have around a 1/4 " freeplay at the carbs, with the engine running turn the steering lock to lock, the engine revs shouldn't change..s aticky cable can cause the problem you describe.hope this helps...cheers

SOURCE: 1981 Honda GL 500. Used to be able to jump start.

Replace your main fuse on the starter solenoid. That should restore power. If you are having to jump the starter at the solenoid you may need a new solenoid. Your starter button could be the issue, in that case you would have to replace the switch assembly. As for running only on high revs, you need to take your carburetors apart and clean the idle circuit (jets an body passageways) These machines are notorious for burning out there spark plug caps. The caps unscrew from the end of the wires and should OHM out at 5000. If they read higher or lower replace them.

Why my won't my 2008 Yamaha Rhino 700 start. Has good battery. Cranks over. No codes. Good spark.

If you are only getting 65lbs of compression, remedying that would be my next move!! .. I have seen some run as low as 85lbs..run very poor too.. but never at 65lbs. You should let the engine turn over for about 5 seconds to get compression level.

Tm 20 clark forklift error code -46 what does it

sounds like the #1 rectifier is shorted or the insulator gasket is shorted through -also the 1A contactor may be welded shut -usually caused by a weak battery or running a discharged battery too long. -Troy from A-Lift Services

Fz6 code 46 ?

Fault code 46 = Power Supply to the FI system relay is not normal.

Maybe your battery is dying or not loading enough. if you ride the bike at low rpm (less than 5000 rpm) that could not allow the battery to load properly. Or you stator is failing. Or your battery is failing (maybe too old?)
Maybe a short wire or a faulty connection, etc.

My aims 2000 pure sine wave inverter is pluged to 2 240amp/h 6 volt batteries. When | plug in a 1800 watt hairdrier i get an alarm as if the batt. were to low. they are new and at full charge. is the load...

Your inverter has a peak of 3000 watts rating and should power that hair dryer. Make sure your batteries are in good shape. The inverter can only put out what it takes in. 1800 watt demand on the inverter requires 1800 watts from the batteries.
