nvlddmkm.sys is nvidia graphic card driver files, first off download latest driver form nvidia official site..get it here...use drop-down list to fill the model of your graphic card and OS.. If you can not boot from your system normally you can enter to safe mode instead, then remove all previous nvidia drivers that installed on your laptop, also you can do manually remove nvidia installations folder include 'nvlddmkm.sys'..You have need to restart your laptop to make changes then install new driver you have already downloaded...
I would recommend you run system restore point back to early time like yesterday. If you installed anything recently or downloaded something it could have caused the problem but if nothing odd ball then may be the OS getting faulty and could require a reinstall of the OS and drivers again. It is unlikely a hardware fault with the motherboard but afer a clean install of the OS would help determine. Have you tried hooking up external speakers or headphones to make sure the speakers are working? Those are those immediate tips you can get some insight.
1. OPEN YOUR "CONTROL PANEL"...THEN OPEN "HARDWARE AND SOUND" 2. LOOK FOR AND CLICK OPEN "DEVICE MANAGER" 3. SCROLL DOWN TO '' SOUND,VIDEO AND GAME CONTROLLER'' 4. RIGHT CLICK "SOUND VIDEO AND GAME OPTION"...THEN AN OPTION WILL COME UP SAYING..."SCAN FOR HARDWARE CHANGES"...CLICK IT AND HEY PRESTO...YOUR SOUNDS AND VIDEO AND EVERYTHING IS WORKING!
ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT...NO DOWNLOADS OR CODECS OR FILTERS OR ANYTHING NEEDED!
I have lenovo notepad 3000n100 with winXP sp2. I downloaded realtek audio from ibm site and installed. Now sound is coming at my output port but the in-built laptop speaker is not giving any sound output. The hardware is ok as the sound was coming at in-built speaker before formatting. The previous audio driver set up file i have lost. Plz help.
you sould be able to update direct x to the latest version from microsoft downloads site
you will not be able to unintall directx as it is part of windows, the problem comes when games request installation of older direct x versions and then becomes corrupt, so if you have installed anything requesting directx, try and do a system restore to a date previous to the installation.
You can run this test to see which version you have installed and check for problems, click Start>run, then type 'dxdiag' and press enter.
