Sounds like a thermostat problem or a short in the wire. Can you give us more info like is it gas or electric and model numbers will help.

Thanks.

The honeywell tradeline thermostat would work as a direct replacement (no mercury in the new ones), however if your using just heaters and no cooling system off of it, you could Heat only thermostat from honeywell that would replace your unit as well. Both at available at Ace Hardware with the heat only unity being roughly 7 dollars cheaper.

Hi,
Yes you can change that by change the number of cycles per hour that your t-stat looks from for youe furnace. Lower the cycles per hour number and it will increase the range.

You can see how to do it here

I hope that this will help you to solve your problem!

I WOULD AGREE WITH YOU, I WOULD RE CHECK THE WIRING TO MAKE SURE IT IS CORRECT, THE KEY BEING THAT IT WORKED WITH YOUR OLD THERMOSTAT, GOOD LUCK !

SOURCE: How do I change the battery on Honeywell Thermostat T8001C?

According to the manual for the model series (see link), only the T8002 Model has batteries. They are accessed from the right side of the thermostat. See page 14.

Display works but no heat

Keep in mind that this unit will take a while to heat up. I have the same unit and it can take up to an hour to get really hot. Once up to temperature, you should hear the thermostat cycle on and off. To test it, set the thermostat to a low setting and leave the unit for an hour. It should be warm. If it is not, then the problem is after the thermostat such as a broken heating element wire. If so, it is probably not worth fixing.

Heating not working and Honeywell Thermostat Heater states that the temperature is 45 degrees celsius.

without seeing it its hard to say, the thermostat controls the boiler and/or diverter valve depending how its been wired, the diverter valve shunts the water to were its needed ie from one circuit to another if you have two therostats there is a conflict somewere, best bet to have an engineer sort the wireing out

I can not set the temprature differantial of my honeywell beutler thermostas

well back when i worked on honeywell controllers, you don't set differentials on thermostat you set the temperature and it has its own differentials like + or - 1 or 2 degrees to the set temperature they don't let you play with this setting, you set your temperature and it will maintain around that temperature you shouldn't need to change the differentials around that temperature as controller does what the heater needs to get to the temperature you require setting the differential closer to set temperature will make the unit cycle a lot more and coast you more and having it to far away can let the conditioned area start to get back out of comfortable range so they set these in factory and you shouldn't be able to change them as they are set to how it should work to wrok properly so i wouldn't change them even if you could!

Is the heater staying on all the time? Most likely cause of themostat trouble is the sensor. Try to find it and measure its resistance at different temps to verify the trouble.

Does blocking thermostat stop heating

you mean like putting a box over the thermostat? the air inside the "stat" will get to a temperature and stop the heating. when the temperature inside drops, the thermostat contacts close again and the heater starts again.
