Hi! sir, are you using Windows XP Service Pack 2? go to this site http://www.learnatglobal.com/html/xp_sound.html. Download the XP patch to avoid this kind of error again. Thanks.

Hi there
Sounds to me like the first install was a bad one or that the data on the disk itself may be corrupt.
Start by uninstalling the the software and then you have clean the registry, i recommend Ccleaner >>>>>>>>> get it from here
http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/
Once you have cleaned the registry restart the PC and try to reinstall the software again and see if will install properly. If it does the same thing try it on another computer to rule out the disk itself

Kind regards

You need to check the disk and make sure your computer supports everything that the disk needs to run it

Hi ,
This product is not compatible with Windows 7 but it should run under Windows XP . If you are running under XP , I suggest you delete the program , reboot your machine and reinstall the program under Windows XP . If it still fails , you could need to reinstall Win XP or use the recovery disc . Launch the disc , select " install a new version of XP " and choose " repair " when you'll be asked to .
Make first sure you have installed SP3 and tested your program with XP fully updated .
Best regards ,
fanaudi .

To resolve this issue:
  1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Services.
  2. Double-click the service that did not start.
  3. Click the Log On tab.
  4. Verify that the service has not been disabled for the hardware profile that you are using. If it has, click Enable.
  5. Click the General tab. Verify that the service has not been disabled in the Startup Type box. If it has, click Automatic to have it start when you start the computer.

The patch for fixing the sound does not open

Most of the DK software was made for older computers that interacted with sound card hardware almost directly.

Todays sound cards are much more advanced.

DK also dont have much support for older oftware and even went third party for distribution etc.

If you have an older computer eg windows 98 tyhen it would probably run fine.

You could even try running it in compatibility mode under vista but I doubt it will fix your issue.

Dinosaur Hunter GSP (A2847M2X)

I have found the solution to help you all. You all need to download a small patch which only took 5 seconds for me. The website is http://support.selectsoft.com/products/D/LDDINHUNTJ.htm#Downloads

you need to click on DKSP1.exe under Downloads which is in blue on the left side of the page at the top. Once downloaded you can go to your game and play. This should help and i hope it does.
Happy game playing!
