Internal memory low but memory card is free, how do I move information over to free up space?

There is plenty of space on my 2GB memory card in the phone, but everything is being stored in the internal memory and I am unable to download apps and sometimes my texts get rejected because my memory is low, but I have nothing but space in on my SD card. I just want to know if there is a way to move more than just apps to my memory card to free up internal memory.

Go to your files, such as pictures, music and videos and then look for "move" and choose move to memory card.

SOURCE: LG Prada memory

No, copy your music to the memory card rather than storing it on the phone. you must do this in 'My stuff' folder, select 'sounds' select the mp3 then click the bottom left button (details), then press 'file', then 'move' To view the moved files goto 'My stuff' folder, select 'sounds' then in the top right corner you will see a picture of a memory card. press this to see swith to view the external memory.

How does ram vs internal storage work on tablet?

There are 2 storage in just about every smartphone or tablet. There is an internal storage, usually about 1gb. or 2gb. And there an internal SD storage, which is not same as the external micro sd card. RAM stands for Read Access Memory, it will not work as storage. Now, when you download an app it is usually save in the internal storage. If you move an app without an external micro sd card inserted, you are moving them to the internal SD storage. If possible got to setting>storage and check how is the storage divided, if you insert the external micro sd card it should display 3 separate bars. Also, another way to move apps and other things around is by using ES File Explorer. Check that out first and I hope you do resolve the problem, best of luck.

How I get my memory card on Acer tablet to wok. All that space can't download anything

Your new memory card won't "free up space" until you move stuff from the internal memory to the new card. You can do this with the file manager. The new memory card will show as an alternate location you can move stuff to.

I recently purchased a 8GB sd card to expand the memory on my zio and it keeps saying that my phone is low on memory and it won't let me download anymore apps or recieve any incoming text messages. Yet...

Apps are stored internally and do not have anything to do with storage provided by the sd card. You are limited to 512MB of space for apps, texts, pictures, video, etc. The sd card storage space can be used to hold pictures, movies, songs.
To free up space, you can do a couple things. First, you can open the File Viewer on your phone and move any photos, movies or songs you've created/downloaded from internal to the sd card. Second, you can delete apps or text messages to free up space.

I inserted a 2gb micro sd card into my 4gb sansa fuze for more memory and it's still saying I don't have enough space on it when I go to add a song off of limewire

Inserting a microSD card into the Sansa does nto magically expand its internal memory. The card is a separate chunk of memory. You can move some songs from the internal memory to the card to free up some internal memory. Or you can add the new song to the card.

My phone runs out of memory even thought the sd 2 g card has free space

Your phone may be running out of random access memory (RAM), not hard drive space. This means that your 2GB hard drive is not at fault. Instead, you can just restart your phone, and all the applications that were using up your RAM will go away, freeing up your internal memory. If restarting your phone seems like too much of a hassle, then just check which applications you have on your phone, and get rid of any applications that run continuously as they look for more information (i.e. anything that updates you with information).
If your phone is filling up the 2GB SD card, then check the contents of your SD card and find out what kind of information is being stored. If you cannot access these contents on your phone, then put your card into your computer (through an adapter if necessary) and view it like it was a hard drive. Right click on the stored information and go to properties. Inside the properties, there should be information on how to open it, or what created it. Remove what ever application was causing your 2GB SD card to fill up.
I hope this helps!

My HTC P4350 is running low on free storage space

The system have used nearly the maximum internal memory available: Storage: Total 33.45 MB; In Use: 32.80 MB; Free: 0.66 MB Program.

If you already deleted or moved to memory card your files, that means that the space is taken by installed application/games, or by files left over by previously installed applications.

Save all your files on computer and do a complete reset of the HTC, restoring system to factory settings.

Micro card

When I bought the phone I wanted to use a bigger Memory card. I was told it will only recognize 2gb. The booklet that comes with phone says the same thing, so would assume that is why it says full. Assuming of course youre trying to use more than 2gb at the moment.
