Question about Sprint Hitachi P300 Cellular Phone
I have manually altered the color to make it more 'normal' but it's not. I can't even watch a black and white - it's now more green and black and very, very dark. A friend of mine mentioned that it most likely was a bulb out - how many bulbs does it have? If this is the problem - could I fix it?
Thanks much for your time and assistance!
My intelligent guess of what happened is you might have problem in your Y-signal around your video amp section somewhere. Somehow within each frame of the video signal, the voltage representing green color overwriting the actual video signal. After your TV got warm up, the white signal was gone, so you can't see the actual video.
In Y-signal, high voltage in a video frame gives white color, black is low voltage. Everything else is in between. Do I make any sense?
I think the repairman can figure it out for you, but you have to negotiate for reasonable price. If he has a scope, he can find this type of problem quickly. Around my area, just for a repair man to look at the problemed TV cost $45, fixing and parts are extra.

First of all, without the model number any response here is pure speculation. There are a number of reasons for a darker picture. If you would be so kind as to provide the model number, I will be able to give you more details and instructions on how to best resolve this problem.

use the advanced options page and reset the factor blue and red convergence defaults then do re apply the auto color defaults color at first it seemed very red (which is good because red was the missing factor in the green picture) but after reseting all the color and tints to the normal ranges I then reset the color auto correct again and all seems fine.
