This name is stored in the main system processor, not the phone. On the phone, key in *#1234. display shows "sys Prog.

Name programming requires access to system programming. If you go to the main phone and, without picking up the handset, press PROG and dial **1234 and ENTER, it will go into programming mode. Dial 004 and you are looking at the Ext Name screen. An ENTER at this point starts at 101 OPERATOR (default). Now just start pressing the letter keys and the right arrow to spell out the names. The keys press 7 times for ABCabc2. Punctuation and special characters are under the 1 and 0 keys and STORE or ENTER saves your work.
When I install my systems, I let everybody have access to the programming by class of service. You may be able to program from any phone in your system, it depends on the installer. The phone that rings when you dial "0" is probably the main phone if you can't program this from your own phone.

This is for an M7324. Place the programming overlay on the top 4 buttons of the phone. Press Feature **266344, Password: 266344 Terminals& Sets should be in the display. Looking at the overlay press Show, press Next until it shows the name or ext. that you want to change. Press the button under CHANGE in the display. Enter the new name (use the arrow over button to move to the next space). After you are done press Show and RLS. Update will appear in the display press the button to update the change.
from the main menu,choose more till you get to profiles,click ok and edit.you can then delete current name and or put your new name in the phone display.
From extension 201:
Press transfer then dial 104. Press the up arrow until the station number and name you wish to change is displayed. Press the hold key to delete the current data and enter the new name with the keypad by pressing the digit 2 one time for A, press the digit 2 two times for B and so forth. The volume up and down buttons will move the cursor left and right. Press the transfer key to store the new data.
