Hi Binny2, this sounds like a power issue & not a possible graphics card issue.
You can try a couple of things.
Use only one DIMM of memory, not both at first. Try booting system, check for display & POST beep………. No?
Clear your cmos, see page 23 in manual.
Next, see page 17 in your manual for, 8-pin ATX_12V Power Connector for CPU: "PWR2".
(Also see: “Note” at bottom of page 17). This MB needs both 8-pin ATX 12v connectors, connected. It is not recommended to drop down to a 4-pin 12v connection as shown on page 17.
You may need one or two of these power connectors:

Good luck Binny2!
Still no system beep?
Let me know. What size is your current power supply wattage?
Happy holidays!
Mike

In which case your graphic card is faulty. It could be the Memory on it rather than the Graphic processor.

The best thing I can suggest is to get an ATI radeon graphics card. You don't say what your Operating system is.
The Sapphire Radeon HD3650 is Vista certified and will fit the mobo you describe (ie AGP x8)
The Radeon is made by the same company that makes the Processor in your Mobo, so compatibility should not be a problem.

Help me to choose right component for Radeon HD4850 512MB ddr5?

run at least 2.5 gig of memory. You can get them cheap on ebay. Processor should be duo core or equivelant. Single processors work, but do lag. Graphics cards are not actually as important as people think. You can use a stock graphics card with good processor and 2-4 gig of memory and have a good gaming computer.

Have Foxconn 975X7AB motherboard. Am building a new setup and looking at 8800 PCI-e series graphics cards and Core 2 Duo CPU. Would like advice on PSU wattage required. Think a 750w unit will be...

your manuals should tell you what the min req wattage for your motherboard and video card are the motherboard is more important of the two since it will provide power to the video so 600 would be quite enough I would think consider the electric bill on the 750 watt is pretty steep
