Question about JBL PSW-D110 Speaker

High pitch sound

If I tap the side of box it stops high pitch sound (sounds like it is being overdriven). It is a buzzing sound like something is shorting out

It is the amplifier. Service will be required to repair it.

Jbl flip makes buzzing noise when turned on


I have the same problem. But after a short time it stops even in battery mode (i.e. unplugged). Did you find a solution in the meantime?

Sounds like it could be a short or loose wire going to the speakers. You can try taking the case off to look, but chances are you are going to need to take it to a professional to get it looked at.

The speaker is starting to buzz during the low


It probably buzzes all the time, you just notice it when it is outputting little volume. Check the cables for loose connections or replace them with other cable as a test.

I purchased a JBL PB12 (120v) subwoofer from a friend. It worked excellent for a month or so, but completely went on the fritz yesterday. Whenever I turn it on, I get a loud whining noise, that starts high...


It sounds like something on your main board of your amp is going out. It is most likely the finals, or as you said a capacitor. Test the port with another speaker, if al is well then the wooferis bad. if not you will have to go inside the amp for repair. Depending on the brand it can be a little complicated. Try and narror it down to the proper componet, post back the results and we will go from there. Also is this sound comming from all channels or just the woofer?

Subwoofer humming/buzzing


It sounds like one of the internal solder welds to the cable or a/v connections inside the cable box is bad.

You have to give the tweeter a good old juicy **** and it will go back to normal.
