Question about SanDisk Sansa e250 MP3 Player
Every time i turn on my Sansa e250, the "Refresh Database" message shows up, but nothing happens. it stays at the same loading status. so it wont connect to the computer yet and it wont finish refreshing. please help.
I had the same issue, you will need a pp5022.mi4 program from them. They will give you instructions on how to go to recovery mode, and drag and drop the pp5022.mi4 program on to your player. It's pretty easy, but you will have to reload any/all content that you prevoiusly had on your player.

Update your firmware. To get it out of the error mode do the following: Power off. Slide hold button to lock. Plug in usb cord. You may have to push menue button also.

Do you have a lot of songs on the player? If so, this will take a while to refresh. Also, the Refresh Database occurs everytime you exit from MSC USB mode and the system restarts. Try to be patient when the message comes up, it will eventually finish. One more thing, be sure to use MTP USB mode when adding songs, as this mode does not display the Refresh Database message when disconnecting from the PC.

I've got the same problem too. I read this on another website: 'well firstly drain the battery and then connect it to charge it up a bit. once it has been there for 5min or so take it off and then turn it on>settings>USB Mode>MSC once you have done that connect it up and it should work/recognise the player. i don''t know how this thingy happens but this is just how i fixed mine!' I'm gonna try it now on mine, and see if it works. I've just got to wait now... Good luck with yours.

You have to make sure your player has at least 6mb of free memory for your database or else it will keep trying to refresh.
