To set up the L350 as a local printer (I'm assuming that you are not putting it on a network) you will need the Canon FAX-L350 CD-Rom which contains the Fax suite (I have version 3.11). You will also need a parallel printer cable as the fax machine only has a parallel printer port on the rear (the other side to the power cable.
When loading up the CD-Rom (which should have been supplied with your machine - if not you may have to buy one off the web), first make sure you read chapter 2 in the manuals folder on screen then install the driver from the 'program setup.exe' file.
After loading the CD-Rom onto your PC (and before making any physical connections between the PC and the Fax) make sure that the fax is switched off at the mains and also logout and switch off your PC. Next, connect up the cable (Canon recommend a cable that complies with IEEE1284). Centronics supply these cables, but if you do not have a parallel (8 bit ) port on your PC you can get a converter cable (Centronics 36) which will connect the parallel cable to a USB port on the rear of your PC. After checking the connections you can switch your fax back on and also power up your PC. Hope this helps.
