Are you saying you need to know what your sbc global . net email address is? Or are you saying you need to get into your sbc email account and cannot get your mail? Please clarify? If you do not know your email address, you can contact sbc on the internet. use chat services or get their phone number and call customer services. They are open 24/7. Type in sbcglobal.net in a search box on the internet and locate their contact information. Once you identify yourself answering security questions they will tell you your email address and walk you through setting up easy access to it.

I have a earing problem i have tried conecting a no wire head phones to the tv but i cannot get it to work please help thanks

make sure you are connecting your wireless head phone base unit to the audio OUT jacks on your tv. many tv's now have several in/out jacks that all look alike. if your head phones are not stereo, then plug it into the RED audio OUT jack. if still problems, let me know

Trying to connect my ps3 to the internet but need wireless route

That won't work because your old sbc wireless router 2wire gateway is also a modem. You need a plain router for Time Warner. Try Linksys router.

2wire wireless usb adapter installation for desktop

elomarcillo1,
You are attempting to install a (brand name) 2wire wireless usb adapter, normally the SBC DSL CD is ONLY what you would use to set up your SBC DSL modem. You should have a specific 2wire CD that you put in your CD Drive when you want to install the 2wire wireless usb adapter. Can you locate this CD?

For the information of future searchers, I add an OEM type repair that has just worked for me.

Go to the dollar store and pick up any audio lead that has a single narrow pin in the centre. Cut the plastic where the cable enters the plug to expose the end of the pin and wire connection. unsolder the plug and at the same time using the heat from the soldering iron, withdraw the pin from the plastic that is holding it in place. Now you have an unsoldered pin all on its own.

Remove the back from the Apelco 365 and unsolder the wire on the broken pin, (mine was just a push fit). Touch the broken pin with the soldering iron and withdraw it. Insert the new pin, heating it a little with the soldering iron. From the outside of the back case, check the alignment of the pin, making small alterations using a bit of heat. Once satisfied, apply a little dab of crazy glue to fill any gaps around the pin.

Job done. In future use a little Vaseline Petrolem Jelly on the female plug and make sure the plug is square to the back when you insert it, and lined up with the notch at the top.

My computer doesnt seem to be working with my Belkin router. I have yahoo sbc and my modem works fine, but once I connect it to the router it can't make a connection

I use a belkin wireless adaptor for connecting my PC to the wireless router of trendnet, i observed that belkin adaptor does not work with standard windows wireless networking , i downloaded a separate suite provide by belkin for the purpose and voila- even my 8 yr old son and now reconnect if connection is broken :)

PHILIPS HEADPHONES SBC hc 8440

Hi there!
OK I know it is little late to response but if someone will google it, might find the solution, they are still selling it though. I just got my set as a xmas present so here is the way it works..
First plug the batteries into the headset, there is gonna be small power in it, however you have to charge it. So connect the small charging cable into the base unit and the headset and make sure the switch on the head set is off. Green LED light will appear on the base unit. Let it charge for 16 hours. After is charged you can unplug the small charging cable.
OK now how it works.
The base unit needs to be always plugged-in to the electricity supply. Connect the audio connector from the base to the e.g. TV, PC, DVD player, mp3 player... After you plug-in the audio connector red LED light will automatically light on the base unit.
There is is two channels what you can use, that's in case if you have two of the same wireless sets. So if on the base is set to # 1 the headset needs to be also on # 1. Then if you have second headset choose channel # 2 on the base and also on the headset # 2, so they are not crossing each other.
Now press switch on button on the headset and red LED light will appear. There is nothing wrong with the red light. That's just the way it is..
OK that's it. Adjust the volume on the headset and you should be able to listen to the music.. :)

Hope it was helpful.

Wifi as Laptop to PC Hub?

This is not a solution and is not deserving of a rating (yet anyway) -- please wait to rate this until a solution is provided.

A few questions before attempting an answer please confirm or explain if your network and computer systems do or do not match the following (please indicate that you do not know to any items where it is appropriate and I will try to provide instructions to determine the answer) You are the eyes and hands of this team and all I know about your systems is what you report here. A successful resolution of this issue will require both of us.

If both your PC and your laptop work with the internet indicate they do in your response and skip down to the question about the static IP assignment to your PC of the 192.168.0.2 address and continue from there.

First in terms of wiring starting at a phone jack
Does the phone jack (where you would plug in a phone) connect to the SBC Modem (possibly through a splitter)?
Does the SBC Modem connect with an ethernet cable to the
Router?
via the WAN port or
one of the (probably) 4 LAN ports?
Is your PC connected to one of the Lan ports or is it wireless? from your message it appears to be wireless.
Your laptop appears to be connected wirelessly does it work
with the internet?

When you configured the IP address of your desktop PC did you enter a static IP Address for the either the wireless adapter or the wired connection of 192.168.0.2? Please indicate which adapter you configured with this address if you did so.

(please answer separately all of the below for each computer
your PC and your laptop)
Are your PC and Laptop a windows computers?
Which version Windows XP?
If Windows XP
Do you know if you are using windows firewall?
If so did you set the firewall to allow file and printer sharing?

Do you run an internet security program or firewall program on your computer?
What is it's name
Do you know if it has a firewall?
IF you know it has a firewall
was it enabled to allow File and Printer Sharing?

When sharing files like this security of the wireless connection becomes more critical. Do you want to discuss securing your wireless connection?

I know this was a lot of questions but there can be numerous reasons for the problem you described and these answers will eliminate some issues and highlight others for review.
