Question about Samsung LN-S2652D 26 in. HDTV LCD Television

LCD TV randomly cycles through viewing modes

My new Samsung LNS2652 26" LCD TV randomly cycles through viewing modes. After roughly 20 minutes of viewing, the viewing mode switches to the next mode. For example, if I am watching in 4:3 mode, after some time (about 20mins) it will switch to 16:9. Or if I am in 16:9, it will switch to Zoom 1, or if I am in Zoom 2, it will go to 4:3. This happens regardless of where the input signal is coming from (ie- Component In from our DVD player or just the yellow Video Input) Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks.

You could also check your controler..some controlers will do strange things as the battery is about to go out. a recently wet controller will also make circuits act up in the controler and hence..cause things to be changed on your tv. try this..turn your tv on.. hide your controller under a pillow in a very far away area from the tv..see if things change..if not. do what the man snakehead says...tech time. .

Lg w2234s-bn Monitor Cycling randomly through Light View Modes/Power Button turning It's self on and off.

On and off cycleing could be caused by a bad power supply or a low battery on your remote. Check them both out. Good luck.

Try cycling through all of the av modes by pressing the av mode button on your remote to see if you like movie or standard. You are most likely in av mode dynamic fixed at the moment.

SMPS board is detecting "fault condition" and goes into "shutdown mode" to try and "save itself" from catastrophic, nonrecoverable failure. e.g. sparks, smoke, fire!!! If warranty no longer valid option for you, then you or qualified electronics technician will need to investigate SMPS board to find cause as to why SMPS cycles in/out of "shutdown mode" 12fixlouie

i had the same problem. i accessed the engineer menu. while the samsung is powered off, you press info, then menu, then mute and then power on. you will get a new menu and from there you pick the option block. here, you have an option for 'shop' mode. disable that. Voila. worked for me. should work for you unless a different problem.
