If the light on the remote is not lighting when you push a button, check the batteries to make sure they are in the proper position. If one is turned the wrong way, the hand held will not work. You may also want to check the replacement batteries to make sure they are fully charged. If all this fails to solve the problem, you will need replace the hand held remote. Since Hampton Bay Fans are a house brand for Home Depot, they stock and sell replacement hand held remote controls.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks.

Hi, Betty. Hampton Bay Ceiling fans are a house brand for Home Depot. They do sell replacement hand-held remotes, that can be programmed to match your fan. But, before you rush off to buy a new one, change the batteries in the remote first. There's a batteries in the handl held remote and some in the receiver, inside the fans cowling. Low batteries can cause what is happening with your fan.

Hope this helped you.

It may simply be a case of a loose wire to the light fixture. But, you want know, until you remove the light kit and check the wires in the bottom of the fan housing. Be sure that the wall switch is OFF or the circuit breaker that handles the fan is OFF, before attempting any troubleshooting.

I broke one of my 4 glass shades for my ceiling fan, how can I get a replacement?

Since, "Hampton Bay" is the house brand for Home Depot, your best bet is to start there. Getting an exact replacement will depend on how old your Hampton Bay Ceiling Fan is. Some glass shades and/or globes are discontinued after a few years, as the trends in shades change.

Hope this helped you.

Hi, i have a hampton bay ceiling fan model 48-tp, how do i remove the light bulb to make the replacement for a new one ? i`m stuck with no lights here ! thanks,

I am assuming that you want to replace the lighting kit, underneath the light housing there are two screws, unscrew them and the light kit will come off, make sure the power is off, then unhook the wires and hook up the new light kit. Now if it just a light bulb it unscrews counterclockwise. Hope this helped Tim

Lowe's or Home Depot come to mind. If you are the DIY type, find a thrift store. Spare parts abound....and they're cheeeeeep!

Remote operation of ceiling fan NOT working.

Try to check the remote control by using camera or cell camera, just use it as your eyes to see if the remote control emits signal. Just point your remote control to the camera and "on" then check if the remote control emits light, if no emitted lights means defective remote but if emit lights then the receiver is defective . Try also to locate if there are any reset or rst button on the remote control and press it then test.
