I am using nokia e63 phone. When i try to connect to a wlan network it asks for preshared key or wep/wpa key . What should i do?

This is the same key that you use to connect your laptop to wlan.

if it is an office network, you will need to ask the network administrator or someone using the wlan for the key.

I have problem with Wireless network connection (Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection) on Sony Vaio vgn-fs960p model. I'd reinstalled Windows XP Pro SP2, since that WLAN can't detect and connect to...

I suggest uninstalling and re-installing (which the operating system will prompt you to let it do automatically) the Intel PRO wireless device. That should do it. If you must provide authentication details in order to connect to a given access point (if it is Secure), then you'll need to do that again (manually) also.

Before doing so, make sure that you're running the DHCP (dynamic host configuration protocol) service. That's what enables wireless devices to get an IP address on the LAN to which you're trying to connect. Also make sure that the manufacturer's or your operating system's utility required to actuate the device Service is running.

To examine and modify (use caution here) system Services in Windows, Run the following command from a command line: services.msc

If User Access Control is enabled (it is enabled by default), it will prompt you for permission to run the MMC (Microsoft Management Console) required to change the state or setup of your system Services first. In order for the wireless device to connect it must both have said utility running (mine in Vista Business is called WLAN AutoConfig--make sure it's set to start in Automatic mode before you reboot).

To uninstall the device in Windows (Mac will be similar), right-click it from its listing the Device Manager (use Windows Help if you don't know how to run the Device Manager) applet and select Uninstall this device... You will also need to reboot because devices have "monitor/system level priority" and rebooting will ensure that the system will talk directly to the correct(ed) driver for the device.

Password

assuming you want set password in your WLAN:
  1. connect to router using the IP address you find referred to gateway in your connected PC (use ipconfig or check on net connection status).
  2. in wireless section home tab set Authentication to WPA-PSK create a pass phrase you'll use to enable the connection on Client PC.
You can see a full simulation here

Router problems

Check with this tip.
Check if router is working on Net using a Lan cable to connect your PCs and check if you can browse from PC..
If Internet OK check if radio is enabled in your Belkin router.
Then check if your SSID broadcast is enabled in your router.
Check if Router and PCI Wlan adapter are on same WLAN standard A,B, G, or N and disable every security protocol (WEP or WPA)
Define a new SSID name and check if you see your Wlan on PC.
Restore your security as soon as connection established.

Wireless signal keeps dropping/dissapearing

Check my tip
Using Router and Wlan adapter from different brand (Dynex + Belkin) is sometime calling for trouble: you must configure both to be sure to be on same standard (or change Both).
I'm using Netgear + Belkin and tune is not easy
On router config check radio power, reduce the used standard (B/G A/N) to the only one used by Belkin adapter (N).
Be sure you removed Windows zero wireless configuration (= use windows to manage my connection= OFF)
edit your belking wireless networking utility to automatic reconnect:

try downgrading to G standard from router side
Check your network connection plugging your laptop to router via lan cable.and check network params (DHCP DNS etc.).
Then check wlan connection near router, if you experience wlan drops only when far from router, find any possible interferences source (Microwave, cordless, remote) remove it or be ware you cannot have wlan when your wave is working.

No lights(lits)on WLAN-No acces from the computer

WLAN light will give you the status of your wireless connection. If WLAN light is off, it might be a possibility that wireless has been turned off or worse is the device had stopped broadcasting a wireless signal. you may try using 192.168.1.1 to get into the setup page of the device to check if wireless has been disabled.
