Reset your router back to it's factory settings by holding the reset button for about 5 seconds. I have provided a list of the most popular router brands. If it does not work you may need to google what your specific model's default IP address/default username/default passwords are, for example search for "Encore ENHWI-2AN3 default IP address" The default login info can change, it can depend on where you obtained your router. If you purchased it yourself from a store then the standard defaults should work. If you obtained your router from your Internet Provider you may need to contact your service provider. It also may depend whether it's an old or new model router as well. And you may need to press and hold the reset button on your router several times before it actually clears. Make sure you have a wired connection then once you have accessed your router simply run the Setup Wizard. Set your SSID as something you'll remember like "Mavericks Network" and your Password can be something like your phone number for example 3109876543

I assume you previously enabled security on your router, so you are now trying to retrieve the security key so that other computers can make connections via that router.
The security key should be in the computer which configured the router, as well as any computer which made a wireless connection to the router. It may be available in the web-based configuration page for the router (if you are able to access that).
Get a paper clip or anything sharp on that size and insert it into the the little reset hole on the back of the router and hold for 15 seconds or so. This should reset the router to manufacturer's settings. Wait for all the lights to stop flashing and remain on, then try to connect to the internet. Here's a pdf guide.http://www.encore-usa.com/us/sites/default/files/product_documents/ENHWI-N3_UM.pdf Default user name is: adminDefault password: admin
Use a pin-shape item to push to reset this device to factory default settings. It will be useful too when the manager forgot the password to log in, but the setting will be back to default setting. this found next to the power connector (right ).
To change any setting on the router , you will need to access the router set up. Do you have any computer connected to the router with the cable ? If not then you will need to connect computer to the router Open the router set up and change the wireless settings
