Unit won't turn on....

I have a pioneer avh-p6600dvd. I got it installed by a professional and within the next 2 days the unit just blanked out. Everything was connected fine, no fuses burnt on the harness and on the back of the unit. Question, would there be a fuse acutally inside the unit?? Also, there is power running into the unit but still no power. Please help!! THANK YOU!!

There are several surface mount fuses and the flexible pcb is also a suspect, don't attempt to repair this unit yourself unless you have experience if not you will end up doing more harm than good.

You have it wired wrong. The red wire goes to the key switch and the yellow wire goes to the battery or a constant hot wire.

Good Luck and please rate

similar but not exactly the same - for a dvd you must also connect a line to the parking brake wire that shows ground when engaged

sometimes the laser gets dirty- to clean the laser your radio will have to be dismantled( not an easy job for your head unit) then put some computer disk head cleaner on a no lint shami and VERY gently clean laser eye
