Electric fireplace squeals constantly when heater fan turned on

I have a Pyromaster Electric Fireplace, model # HEF33 that is app. 7 years old. When you turn the heater fan on it has a high pitched squealing noise that makes it impossible to leave on. Everything else about it is working fine.

I have the exact same problem and my is 5 years old- also my remote is not working and I can't find a replacement-- any ideas???

I had the same problem with they squealing and then something smelling like something was burning. Then it startred shooting out sparks so I unplugged it. Isolated the problem as being the relay having gone bad in the elements that are on the front of the blower fan motor. Unable to get the part because Vermont Castings and Majestic have gone out of business. Good luck and let me know if you find a replacement part. I'm told it is no longer available. Unplug the unit before you burn the house down

Try googling "Hankscraft motors". They sell display motors and their name is on the motor casing. Not sure if they sell to the public. The motor is 12vdc/20 rpm. CFMHarris is the manufacturer but they don't sell the parts.
Alternately try www.ibuyfireplaceparts.com. They have all theparts for the HEF33 fireplace. The motor is $77.01. P/N is 10001978.

SOURCE: My Heater stopped working on my HEF33 Electric fireplace

We have had this same problem with our heater. But I went online to find out where I could purchase replacement parts. The company that sold the fireplace went out of business. I also went on-line to try and fine a universal replacement part. So far no help to be found.

My recommendation would be to contact a fireplace showroom that sells electric fireplaces. It would be best if you could inspect your fireplace for the sticker that identifies the fireplace's brand and model#. The primary concern is contacting a showroom that is able to order parts for that brand...

The heat on my Pyromaster HEF33 Electric Fireplace is not working

This unit was made by Monessen Hearth Systems. The original heater/fan part has been discontinued; however, there is a new part that is compatible with your fireplace. You will need to search for part#10006404 Fan/Heater.

Where can i get a motor 12dcflame generator and where can i find a circuit board-flame speed control? furthermore, does pyromaster have a parts department and what is the head office address and phone...

I got the very same number 10001978 from ibuyfireplaceparts.com with no problem and got it within a couple of days of placing my order. The sales rep said they have plenty of fireplace parts for Vermont Castings, Majestic, Napoleon, Monessen and many more. The rep I spoke with was extremely helpful and I tried about five other companies before I stumbled across them. I would recommend this store highly.

Flickering lights have stopped working

basically, on the bottom of the fireplace, there are 2 screws on the sides, 3 on the back, take them off, lift bottom (it wont come off, so be careful not to bend it) there are 3 christmas light type bulbs, you can find them at any hardware store. Just replace them. Problem solved.

If the flame is standing still, i assume the motor is burnt out. or the belt is off.

Hi Jamil

To help you out a little bit the Company you need to go through is a Vermont Casting or a Majestic Dealership... Alot of companies will only help you if you have purchased from them.

If you have a problem? Is there anything I can help you with?
