You do not need to use media player. Just a USB cable that will fit your device.

  1. Connect device to PC
  2. A box should open on PC asking something like "what do you want do do?" Select the option that opens folder to view files. When folder opens, leave it open and move to step 4.
  3. If a box does not appear in step 2: click "My Computer" or "Computer" on Vista systems, then look for a device with a drive letter (usually F: or G: or H:). This represents your mp3 playerconnected to your system and you can access it from here. Click it and it will open a file on your mp3 player for you to put music on.
  4. Open the folder on your computer that contains the music files you want to put on your mp3 player. These files are usually found in you "My Music" folder.
  5. Hold the Ctrl button and highlight all the music files you want on your mp3 player. When all are selected, release the Ctrl button, right click one of the highlighted files, and select "copy"
  6. go back to the folder for your music player and right click an empty area of the folder where the files would be shown, and select "paste."
  7. Look in your tray (the little icon area near your computer'sSanDisk Sansa Mp3 player is - 2_bing.gif clock) and see if there is a little icon that says "safely remove hardware" when you hover the cursor over it. If this is present, then click it and select the option to safely remove the device with the drive letter your music player was listed as. If you don't know the drive letter, then follow the first part of step 3 to find out what it is

How do I turnon the USB on the westell 6100 modum?

f you reformatted your Windows on your pc, there's no need to change the settings of your network connections. The Westell 6100 can either be connected to your pc using the Ethernet port or the USB port if you're using the combo cable or Y-cable. It's more stable to use the Ethernet port for your Lan connection. For the USB, to reinstall the USB connection properly, you'll need the Verizon Installation CD. Make sure the USB is not connected to your PC first before you install it. You just need to follow the CD because it will tell you when to hook up the USB cable to the pc. If you still have the CD, after it runs, you have to select existing customer and then select connect new modem. After that you just to have follow the steps to install the USB connection properly and then your modem will work fine afterwards. If the problem still persists, you can try replacing the cable. If all else fails, it could be a modem problem already. You also need to check your Network Interface Card of NIC as we call it, it's built in your pc. it's the device that allows your pc to communicate with the modem. Normally after reinstalling windows, the NIC is forgotten, make sure you also install the drivers and utilities Cd for your windows.

Hello, My laptop died, so had to get a new one. Unfortunately now I can't get to the printer which is attached to my D-Link Dir 450 because I had the WEP or whatever fancy connection and don't have the...

Hi James,

It sounds like you're halfway there. You now need to find out the IP Address that the USB convertor box is using by going into the D-link router. Note it down (including the dots separating them) and then go into the printer poperties of the printer on your laptop. (Sorry I don't which operating system you are using so I'm going to have to assume that you know how to do this. If not, drop me a line.)

Click on the Ports tab.
Click on the Add Port.. button below the list of ports
In th window that pops up click once to highlight the Standard TCP/IP Port option and click the New Port.. button underneath the selection box.
A wizard will appear. Click Next.
In the next window enter the IP Address you noted from the router noting the dots between the numbers in the Printer Name or IP Address box. (Note that the Port Name box will autofill.)
Click Next (you may have to wait a moment for the settings to take effect).
Another windows will open and the default selection is Generic Network Card. (Leave it as is and click next.)
The finish windows will appear. Check the settings . The defaults are as follows:
SNMP: No
Protocol: RAW, Port9100
Device: (The IP Address that you enterred earlier)
Port Name: IP_(The IP Address as above)
Adapter Type: Generic Network Card

Click Finish and get back the pinter properties page at the Ports tab.

Check that there is a check mark next to the port you have just created (i.e. IP_(IP Address you enterred earlier)

Click Apply and OK.

Return to the properties and print a test page.

Let me know how you go. Cheers.

The ZTE modem when initially connected to any system loads as a storage device which contains the software necessary to install the modem. Connect the ZTE and open it in Explorer. Double click the setup file (.exe) to start installation. Follow instructions and allow installation to complete. The modem is automatically installed during this setup. Once completed restart and then your ZTE functions as a modem.

Remote storage drive won't (USB) network to laptop

In fact the USB port on the DIR 825 is meant for share port.

So if you plug in a pen drive it should work.
May be the storage drive which you plugged into the router is not plug n play or something like this.

Why is my computer unable to load various drivers?

The driver is NOT digitally signed so in actual fact they indeed are NOT being installed. You will have to turn of the check digital signature by pressing F8 at Bootup and selecting it. Then you can install it. Install as Administrator, Set the install .exe & run .exe, to Compatability Mode for XP SP 2. You WILL have to press F8 each and every time you boot otherwise Vista will "Block" the driver from loading. There is NO real workaround.

How to download music on a mp3 player ?

Did the MP3 player come with a CD-ROM containing software to be used with the player?

It depends on the MP3 player.

For example, the Apple iPod uses Apple iTunes software to "synchronize" between your folder(s) of music on your computer and the contents on the iPod.

Other MP3 players connect just like a USB memory-stick -- just "drag-and-drop" MP3 files from your C: drive to the drive-letter (maybe E: ?) assigned to the USB device.

I am trying to install a wireless usb adapter. Problem installing driver software "process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process2 please help

Did you have a similar wireless adapter install previous to this one? If the software is similar then you need to uninstall the old software so that you can install the new software. The problem might be the old software version is running and you can't write over a file that is running. You can't delete or overwrite it until that process is closed.

Enter the password when prompted , the default password is Username = admin Password = admin the click on Ok

now when you are logged in press the "configuration" button at the top of the page and on the next screen click the purple button saying "define cusomt service"

when prompted check the radio button saying "Port Forwarding Ranges of Ports" then click the next button

on the next page name your service:
