Try reinstalling the driver. If this does not work try reseating the card. Hope this helps.

Looking at Gateway's support site it tells me your board has onboard audio. You can go into your bios at startup to see if the onboard audio is enabled. If it is & still no sound then I would say the onboard audio has went bad. You could fix this by adding a soundcard to an open pci slot inside your computer and then disabling onboard audio. The soundcard would then provide all sound for your computer. Hope this helps.

My sound wont work. i've tried everything but it says i have no audio dive . i dont know what else to do

Newer sound cards use Microsoft's Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) bus. This means that you usually need to install the UAA bus driver first, then the audio chipset driver.

If the sound card came with your system, go to the system manufacturer's website and download drivers for your model. For example, Gateway downloads at http://support.gateway.com/support/drivers/dlcenter.asp

Gateway has a pretty good download section, so you might be able to find what you need on your own. If you can provide more specifics about your computer and/or sound card, we can usually give more specific guidance to the correct downloads. For example, manufacturer, model, operating system, etc.
