Question about SanDisk Sansa e250 MP3 Player

1 Answer

Songs dont show up on my device

Had sansa e250 over a year with no problems until recently. Some of my songs have recently become "bad tracks" and when I tried to load some new songs on it, they dont show up on my device, but Windows Media says they are on there and when I search the device on my computer the tracks are listed as being on my device. I only have about 130 songs on my player and only have 219 mb free. What do I do???

Remove the songs from the player and then reload them. If they are froma subscription service, make sure they do not have fixed-term licenses on them. Right-click song --> Properties --> digital rights or media usage rights

My sansa e250

If you want to delete EVERY track off the player, then reformat the player in Windows Media Player - it's a shortcut - see my "tips and tricks" on formatting mp3 players

If there are artist, album traces, then you need to click on every subfolder under your device in Windows Media Player and delete every trace that way - tedious, but effective

There are 2 ways to format an mp3 player - if you were formatting the mp3 player from "My Computer," then try reformatting from Windows Media Player instead - I have a "tips and tricks" entry on How to Format an Mp3 Player for details

If that doesn't work, then double-click on My Computer, double-click on the Sansa player, and go to the various folders that it lists - music, voice, etc. Delete the songs ONLY - do not delete the dat, bat, ini, inf, or other system files

My sansa keepz bringing up songs as bad tracks or unknowns then doesnt play them

i'm having this problem too. what i think is happening is you took the song off the player. However, the it is not completly off of the player. i.e. song info still on their. song name, artist, album ect. i just took everything off of my player. it says 1/467 songs on their but all say bad track. thats the problem now about that solution, i'm looking into it. but ya if you have any problems. hit me up at headshot347@gmail.com or MXRIDER007R on aim.
