Can not watch VCR on My Sharp camcorder model no.VL-E66U

My Sharp camcorder model no. VL-E66U stop playing the recorded footage. I used the camcorder about a week ago when the dew/clog light began flashing. At first I thought it was the battery light but when I took a closer look I saw it was the dew/clog. I have no idea what this light means but I know that I can not watch anything I record now. The camera is working fine and the recorder seems to be working fine. Only when I try to review the footage it is very fuzzy and I can not make out the objects. I really need help my boyes 1st basketball game is this Friday and I want to capture it on film.

I let it sit overnight and when I opened the door I nudged the part that holds the tape up. I got the tape out but I think it is still frozen. I will try a different tape and hope it still works. I'll post results.
Thanks

SOURCE: Dew Alarm

Many times dew sensor stops giving moisture signal if hot air blows in open cassette compartment for 3-4 minutes from distance through hair dryer.
and some times dew sensor needs to be replaced to stop giving dew signal.

Go to

the VL-AH150U manual should be very close to the VL-AH-151U.
Let me know if this works for you or we can try something else. Thanks.

I have a sharp camcorder model vl-e785u and I am needing to know if there is somehow to download my tapes to a computer to burn to a cd.

I don't know about downloading to a computer, but you can buy a VCR/DVD recorder for about $140, put the VHS-C cartridge in the adapter and transfer to a DVD, or plug your Camcorder into a DVD recorder (about $119) and copy. It couldn't hurt to check out some of the transfer services that could do a little editing and copying for a modest fee.

To transfer video you need to use firewire, not usb. If you use firewire to connect, set the camera to the 'play' icon and then open up a capture program (ie, movie maker) you should be able to just record/capture from there. Good luck!

Can an adaptor be used to play my 8mm tape in my VHS VCR?

With the Sharp Viewcam ®, there's no need to use an adaptor to play 8 mm tape. Simply connect the Viewcam ® to the TV or VCR for playback. You can even use your VCR to make a copy onto VHS tape.
