    same

  • csteck1 Dec 30, 2008

    same thing!!

  • fdsfdsf Dec 31, 2008

Same thing...there is no contact info on the toy, either. It needs a longer guard around the tail rotor to keep it from breaking by hitting the ground.

  • Anonymous Jan 01, 2009

Same problem, no parts source readily available.

  • jphill11 Jan 01, 2009

I got 3 good fly's out of mine before the rotor blade snapped in 1/2. Let me know which one works out.

  • Anonymous Jan 02, 2009

i landed mine safley and the tail rotor snapped.its all because the rotor fin is to short.i cant beleive the trouble im having finding a replacement blade.world tech toys is obviously not a great company.

need tail rotor for a sky hawk

  • Anonymous Jan 03, 2009

Second flight and "snap", a broken tail rotor.

has anybody found a replacement yet?

Copter was fun while in the air.

  • csteck1 Jan 05, 2009

    Well,
All the blades I purchased are similar looking. The problem is that none of them have any kind of a central hub like the skyhawk one does. I went to lowes and got some 2-part epoxy. I took my original broken blade (with the hub still in tact) and tried to glue it. I got some thin, flexible plastic (about 1/16" thk.), drilled a hole to fit over the hub and then cut out a rectangle that fits the "raised" area on the back of the OEm tail rotor. (note - drill the hole 1st - it is very difficult to cut the square and then drill the hole). I mixed up the epoxy, glued the blade together AND to the new plastic shim. I made sure to drag soe of the epoxy up the hub as well (but make sure NONE gets into the hex notch in the hub!!).
I then made sure it coated around the whole side where the screw goes in (but, again, not in the hole for the screw).
I figured, why stop there - I made a 1/2" extension for the tail safety landing blade (the yellow blade that is a useless tail rotor protector). I just glues that on as well. Now there is a 1/2" between my tail rotor and the ground. It flies, but make sure you do your best to "balance" the glue joint on the tail rotor blade. The hole should be in the exact center of the shim and there should be equal amounts of glue used for each side of the blade. If your tail rotor broke further out towards the tip of the blade, I suggest fixing it the same way, but also glueing a "dummy" fix on the opposite side blade - for balance.
Good luck. Oh, My upgrade from this toy will be a Blade MCX micro RC. They are about $125 and got rave reviews for being the best micro with the best controls.
    Thanks,
    Chris

Well,
Here;s what I am trying - I went to Hobbyzone.com and got (3) different tail rotor blades from 3 different helicopters (each about $3). I'll see which one is the easiest to retrofit and I'll post my results. I will also be making the tail rotor safety wing longer somehow.
I got 6 crashes out of mine before it broke...how about you guys

I bought one from someone who broke the tail rotor. I bought an E-Flight one to retro fit. I just used the screw to hold it in place. I flew it, but the heli needs adjustment. I looked at adapting the large tail gear from the E-Flight heli, but still thinking on how to go about it. I hear the Syma .603 helicopter is simular (sales@grandhobby.com). To the poster with the heli turning in flisht, there is a screw on the side where the on-off switch is. Turn anticlockwise if heli turns anticlock wise, and clockwise for clockwise.

Pending on which way it is spinning (clock-wise or counter clock-wise) there is an adjustment near the on/off switch on the helicopter. Example: if it is spinning counter clock-wise adjust to the right. Hope this helps!

World Tech Saturn-X - spins, rudder trim doesn't help

I know what the problem is, i had the same issue right out of the box. if you take the cover off the front you will find the battery. on the bottom of the battery is a 2-sided sticky tape to hold it in place, on that tape the is probably a pulled wire. theres red blue black and white (as well as a thicker red and black that lead to the battery. find the wire that is pulled and solder it to the correct part. for me it was the white cable which controlled the top blades. the helicopter spins because both set of blades should counter rotate and if one of the motors isnt getting power from pulled cable the helicopter will spin and flip. Hope this helped. email me at thedew312@gmail.com if you need more help finding where the wires connect

Mine has 2 female ends. 3 people 1 of which is an engineer have come to the conclusion that they put 2 female ends on and we can't charge. Plus there are no replacement blades as advertised on the box and it needs batteries for the controller even though it states "batteries included"
