The control relay is bad. Internal contacts are most likely welded together. Replace the relay.

-Thermal fuse, heater element, door switch, start switch.

Breville BOV800XL toaster oven heating elements wont turn off.


i don't work on toasters but i'm sure it's not any different from a dryer,if one of the coils that turn red and heat up touch metal it will short out and stay on when it has power going to it so the coil is grounding out on the frame and will stay on all the time.hope this helps you out

Dryer starts but wont stay on


There is a switch on the motor that activates when the drum is turning at the proper speed. This switch should be checked if the drum is turning properly.

Dryer element stays warm


If it heats w/ the timer in off position whenever plugged in the the element is shorting to ground, its most likely due to either a broken coil or a cracked insulator. If heating w/ timer set for drying but motor is not running, the heat circuit thru the centrifugal/start switch on the motor is stuck closed.
