Here's a few things to check to help you narrow down the problem, if these make no difference, post a reply to this thread with your findings.

First, make sure all your batteries are fully charged, including recharging or putting fresh batteries in your transmitter.

Next, make sure there are no cut, worn, frayed, or broken wires coming from the electronic control unit (ECU) to the motor and the receiver. Also, make sure that the wires are connected with the right polarity, red to positive, black to negative, on the motor.

Then, take apart your receiver box (with the antenna sticking out) and check to make sure all your servo connectors are tight and not corroded or damaged.

Also, with the receiver box open, check to make sure your frequency crystal (silver plug with a colored flag/label) is in tight on both your receiver and your transmitter (it's behind the colored label near the bottom, in the back of the transmitter).

Make sure the frequency crystals are of the same frequency (color and number) on both the transmitter and the receiver. If you haven't changed them out for new ones they should be the same, but you never know. (I.E. if your transmitter has a 27.255 your receiver must have the same exact number, a 27.195 will NOT work with a 27.255 and vice versa)

Next, try purchasing a new frequency crystal set of a different frequency(color) than the one you are currently running. These parts do wear out after a while and even with a new truck they may be defective.

I hope these tips will help you get started and you can always reply with any other questions you may have. If your question is about this problem, remember to post to this thread, I may not be able to find it if you make a new thread for the same problem. Don't forget to rate! Good luck and let me know how it works out!

I'm assuming you mean the LED on the Traxxas Opti-Drive receiver box, right? I forgot to mention about the opti-drive sensor coming from the receiver box to the transmission that causes a blue light to flash when the truck is rolling and is solid or off when it is stopped completely. Check to make sure it is connected tight and there's no build-up of grease or dirt on the inside of the sensor. Check the wires also for cuts or missing insulation. And, check in the transmission to make sure that the gear you can see from the sensor's hole in the side of the transmission is also free from debris, no oil, no grease, no dirt, and make sure all the teeth are in good condition. All these things need to be checked for the receiver to work correctly.

Also, do you have a seperate battery for your receiver like on the nitro version? If so, don't forget to charge this battery, too! I should look like a gray box with "Traxxas" on the top and a small, rubber sealed, port that if you open that rubber, there will be what looks like a servo connector inside. That is the charge port, but that's only if you have one. (Which I doubt on the E-maxx) Good Luck!

My traxxas 3.3 monster steering is twitchy but is working in reverse. ie turn steering left , wheels turn right and vice a versa. Have not touched steering linkage at all

I hate to say this but... the reversed steering problem could be in the remote or in the chassis. Reversing the 2 wires on the steering servo would most likely the quickest fix. However.... what you really have is a product defect.
If you have a receipt I would recommend exchanging it at the retailer or go through the nightmare of a product warranty before doing any repairs.

Traxxas offers a 30-day limited warranty on all their electronic components and a two-year, manufacturer-defect warranty. You have a manufacturers defect.

I hope this points you in the right direction. I personally would not mess with an under warranty unit. It would void the warranty.

Traxxas revo 3.3 running problems

Maybe running to lean or to rich. When you accelerate put youre hand where the exhaust is and you should get a light spraying of unburnt fuel over hands(lovely!). If you do you may be able to screw in high end needle in a bit and i mean just a bit. If you hear the engine note raise a bit with a slightly higher pitch then you are running to lean and you will want to unscrew the high end needle valve asap.
Also check youre idle screw and make sure thats not closing the carb and stopping any airflow into engine. Let me know how it goes.

My RC Traxxas Stampede stop working. The steering

Spin the rear wheels and make sure nothing such as a small stone is binding something up in the driveline. Check to make sure the motor has not gotten disconnected from the ESC. If you still have problems with it post again and I will try to look further into it.

Steering/shifting works but motors don't run (EVX2)

It is possible, you might want to try soldering a capacitor on the HPI motor like the stock motor has it.
