Bad news. This is a motherboard component failure. Return it to the manufacturer or visit http://www.gelb.com .. they are selling Heavily Discounted Triton GPS units.
Yes I have the same problem, it wants to shut off everytime i turn it on. the only way to get it to come back on is to take the batteries out and reboot. I don't want to have to do this everytime.
Whenever I try to shut down it never shuts down quite right. Then when want to use it, the unit is always locked on the shut down screen. I can never get out of this page unless I completely reset it by taking the batteries out. Very annoying.
I also have this problem. This device is proving to be very frustrating. I think I'll bring it back to Walmart.
