I checked online & found F code is temp sensor with open circuit. I replaced the sensor & still get the F3 code. Any suggestions?

Check the sensor harness, and the sensor harness connections at the sensor and oven control for an open circuit. Check for resistance on the sensor. It should not read as an open circuit. If the sensor shows resistance and the wiring and connections show continuity, then the problem is most likely on the control board itself. Possibly a bad connector or crack. You will probably have to replace the controller board (clock).

Kenmore oven 9114288816

The "F3" fault indicates an open oven sensor probe or an open sensor circuit. The oven temperature sensor is no longer available. The oven temperature sensor circuit also has thermal fuse connected in a series circuit in one of the two wires in the sensor circuit. Based on the fault code, the sensor is faulty or the thermal fuse. The thermal fuse comes with the oven temperature sensor. Here is the part to order.

Getting f3 fault. replaced oven temp sensor. still get f3. I think it's the electronic oven control but it's no longer available. what do I do?

Code F3: Oven temperature sensor (RTD) open
Solution: This code means that your oven's temperature sensor is faulty and will need to be replaced: replace Oven temperature sensor (RTD)

Although different components (depending upon the model) could generate the code, simple and straightforward testing using your ohm meter is all you gotta do to test for it.

1. Check the oven temperature sensor. The oven sensor has to be within spec or it will cause the F1 code.
As an example of being out-of-spec, the ERC will generate an F1 fault code when the sensor shows 1650 ohms during a time-of-day mode.
This is equivalent to 350°F in the oven.
The resistance isn't high enough to generate an F2 code (runaway temp) or an F3 or F4 code (shorted/open sensor circuit).
The ERC monitors the sensor circuit after a heat cycle and expects the resistance to drop back to 1050-1100 ohms.
The fault code is generated when this doesn't happen. Checking the sensor circuit means also checking the harness, harness connections and the sensor itself.

2. If the oven sensor circuit checks okay, then turn your inquisitive eyeballs to the touchpad.
If the range has a separate touchpad/keyboard, the keypad may have moisture that is shorting several circuits simultaneously.
If the F1 code is given immediately (instead of during or after a heat cycle), remove the ribbon connector from the touchpad to the ERC after clearing the F1 code. If the F1 code does not return in five minutes, then cast a suspicious gaze upon the touchpad/keyboard. Shorts may be caused by using an ammonia-based glass cleaner.
The touchpad surface will absorb ammonia-based cleaners that are sprayed directly on the glass surface. When heat is applied, the surface material can break down causing shorts.
If you're gonna use ammonia-based cleaners on your control panel, then you should spray it on the rag and then wipe the touchpanel -don't spray directly onto the surface of the touchpad.

To remove:
Disconnect the sensor from the harness by disconnecting the quick-release clips. Attach the new sensor to the same harness by attaching the clips to it.

Push the harness and the sensor back to the wall of the oven so that it is back in its original position. Place the philips head screws back into the wall and use your screwdriver to thread them into the oven until tight.

If the code back again, check harnesses and wire connections.

Good luck.

F3 error (sensor replaced) kenmore stove Oven reaches proper temp then about 15 minutes after starting beeper goes off and error code f3 appears

Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. Error F3 in your range/oven means oven temperature sensor circuit failure. To resolve this issue you'll have to check the oven temp. sensor circuit if the reading is more then 1100ohms then check the wire harness connecting the control & sensor (as you have already replaced the sensor) however, if the rating is fine then it is the Electronic Range Control (ERC) that has gone bad & should be replaced. Please rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.
Thanks Rylee

Nothing Works Shows F3 Error

the F3 error code is an oven temperature sensor fault. The sensor is a small probe that sticks out of the back of the oven wall. They do go bad and can be easily replaced. If I had your EXACT model number (found along the inside of the oven door or lower drawer) you can replace it.hope this helps

Fault code F3, then F2

Well here's the details about those codes:
F2 :-
1. The oven temp has risen above 665F and the door is not locked or
2. The temp has risen above 965F with the door locked 1. Check oven temp in mode that failure occurred. Replace EOC (Electronic Oven Control) if above limits

F3:-
Oven temperature sensor is open (above 3000 ohms) Check resistance of oven temperature sensor, check for open wiring between oven temperature sensor

Oven beeping f1 and f3

Here are the error codes for your range:

F1 Circuit board defective Replace control board F2 1. The oven temp has risen above 665F and the door is not locked or
2. The temp has risen above 965F with the door locked 1. Check oven temp in mode that failure occurred. Replace EOC (Electronic Oven Control) if above limits
2. Check 8-pin connector. Check and replace oven temperature sensor if necessary F3 Oven temperature sensor is open (above 3000 ohms) Check resistance of oven temperature sensor, check for open wiring between oven temperature sensor and control F4 Oven temperature sensor is shorted (below 500 ohms) Check resistance of oven temperature sensor, check for shorted wiring between oven temperature sensor and control F5 Internal watchdog circuit has detected a failure Defective EOC (Electronic Oven Control) F6 Shorted buttons Check push buttons and dome switches on control F8 Logic interrupted (lock motor switch sequence) Check door lock switches and wiring

Most likely problem is the oven temp. sensor. Should check around 1100 ohms at room temp. I would replace that first because it is the easiest and cheaper than an oven control.
