Power supply for the lamp got me an extra 600 hours... I have changed bulbs gotten 1000 or so hours from new bulb. New lamp cost me $350, lamp driver cost me $120. Then I read on a page to try and flip it right side up, because I had it ceiling mounted upside down. I flipped it right side up and it works perfectly and has been working perfectly for 2 months now. I know it sounds stupid, but it actually worked for me, and it costs you nothing to try it. For some reason, gravity effects this unit.

SOURCE: Infocus projector power supply parts

you won't find schematics for them. infocus had their boards made by someone else who now no longer makes boards. it's usually the caps drying out that causes power problems.

This problem is more likely to be the Green LCD gone. The green LCD's job is to filter out the green on the picture where it isn't necessary so If the green LCD starts to fail, it will let through too much green light. I think its more in the middle because of the heat from the bulb over time.

How to fix flickering screen on my Hitachi dlp hdmi CP-DX250 projector

If flickering occurs to DLP projectors; due to two reasons. Fault with its lamp or internal power supply regulator circuit. Before replacing the lamp, you should make sure about its power supply section circuit [SMPS] works properly, and supplies exact voltages for its lamp inverter. Somewhat skilled work, and will be best to contact any service technician. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

Possible failure of the projection lamp or a fault in the power supply or the power supply has cut off with a protection due to a short .
You need to check the lamp and also the power supply. Check filter and the lamp doors if the switch is active.

I have a Dell 2300MP DLP projector. It lights up for about a minute then the light goes out. Both the Temp and Lamp indicators are glowing after the light goes out. The fan is working. Will just replacing...

Looks like there is power supply problem as well as the lamp.

1 Clean all filters
2 Check out power supply (usually a few capasitors need to be replaced)
3 Wuld be a good idea to check the lamp in wokring projector, but if the "Lamp" light is constantly on it is more likely a faulty lamp as well.

The projector would not turn on and had a flashing red light for the lamp. Knowing it was an older projector when we rented the building I purchased a new bulb for this projector. When I put the new bulb...

PROBLEM :-The power supply of the projector is faulty there is a transistor witch is switch 15 volts for the lamp drive board.

SOLUTION: Remove the upper cover with 6 screws back side of the projector.
remove main board and lamp cover with 7 screws.(show in the picture)
remove upper cover of the power supply and lamp drive unit with 3 screws.
remove power supply unit with 4 screws and 3 connectors and put face down on the table.
now you find the transistor no Q107 and replace with the transistor no 2SB710 is and surface mounted compunent(show in the picture)
fix it all as you open.
power ON the projector and enjoy

(doing very carefully This is a technical job)

The projector comes on, shows an image, then shuts off

power supply problem. the capacitors are probably drying out. it takes a boost of power to strike the lamp, and if the power supply can't handle it, it shuts down. replace the power supply.

Sony VPL CS6 in darkness !

Make sure the interlock switch is activated by the cover of the lamp.
Can't measure a voltage with the lamp cover open. High voltage is powering the lamp from an smps or ballast supply. If lamp is New, cover switch is good, then the lamp power supply could be faulty.
