Question about Micro Innovations KB1045LSR Keyboard

1 Answer

Mouse not responding.

For the first two days the keyboard and mouse worked perfectly. On the third day though the mouse just stopped responding. All five buttons on the mouse work, but the cursor just wont respond. I did the regular, change the batteries, re install the drivers, restart windows. Only progress I had was I tried different mouse pads. One of the mouse pads has a sticker, and only when I go over the sticker do I get small flickering movements from the cursor.

what system are you using as your boot for the PC you have. You maybe be able to uninstall the mouse, do a restart and let the computer pick a compatable driver for the mouse. It may ask for an install CD

I take it that you have a wireless mouse.
Myself I prefer the ones that plug into the console.

SOURCE: keyboard and mouse not working when windows starts

Hi there.
While you are in the operating system, unplug both the USB devices, then plug them back in, let windows recognize the new hardware and install it for you, this can take a couple of minutes, once it says hardware is installed and ready to use reboot the PC and see if you can use the keyboard and mouse while in the OS.
please post back with any more problems

Good luck and thanks for using Fixya!!!

SOURCE: The usb antenna

It is curently working. At the time I did not have the wireless mouse (part of the same set) with me; ...And I had a USB mouse plugged in.

Once I brought the laptop up with both pieces (mouse and kb,) the connection was fine. One issue, I believe, is the tolerance of the fit of the antenna into the usb port. It is a little loose; I'd like to see a snugger fit. This laptop is move daily, so the device is unplugged and plugged several times daily. That's a lot of wear on both the port an the cheaply made antenna. In fact: The entire package is rather "light" duty.. OTOH: I've ha it for two years now. The original antenna was funky and the company sent me a replacement pronto at no cost. Great people. I'd pay more for a heavier duty set.

Do have issue however. Am running Kaspersky AV...and it did not likthe driver download. I told the app to ignore it...and now have a "riskware" (2 instances) showing with no clue how to remove it. I also downloaed a free PDF converter, but haven't installed it yet. Those are the only I don't know what the risk is so I can remove it.

I like a pristine computer and this is driving me nuts.

I have an AE2420 which is about four months old, already had the HD changed on it and now it's gone again, keyboard does not respond and the mouse is erratic. The DVD door rattles when the optical disc is in use and it will not accept a RAM upgrade (I have bought my third 8gb kit for it and all three have caused blue screens, even though the RAM has been verified by MSI= Twice I have lost data and the machine has been to repair three times.
Honestly?! it is the worst machine I have ever owned - utter garbage.

Mouse ball stops responding, or responds irratically at times. shaking and rotating the mouse 180 seems to provide temporary solution...ball, and sensors are clean (mouse is only 2 mths old...)

Send it back for repair, there is no fixing the chip in a mouse. Sometimes they don't work after one day.
So it depends on how much you paid for it depends on if its work ending back.

This is a great mouse, I only use logitech.

It does have a 5yr warranty.

Dell Wireless Keyboard stopped responding, please help.

The keyboard should have a button underneath it. Press the button on the usb controller first and then the button on the keyboard. Repeat a few times to see if it connects. If you are still having trouble try another set of batteries as some batteries are not designed for wireless products.

Keyboard not responding

Solution. My wireles keyboard stopped working except for the F-Lock key, the Media key and the sleep key. It wasn't batteries, even though I tried, communication was there because the above keys were working. Remove the batteries from your keyboard and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Press the red connect button a few times and other various keys every few minutes during that time. This may be the whole "capacitor discharge" trick, but I tired that with someone elses instructions and my keyboard did not work after 2 minutes of key pressing. I think it just needed more time to clear out the secure settings. Good luck, I was about to trash this keyboard until I tried again

The keyboard has probably died. (It happens often). Here's a great inexpensive combo to replace your current one.

Mouse stops responding randomly

The issue may not necessarily be with the mouse. Are you able to use the keyboard once the mouse freezes? If you not even able to use the keyboard, there is some application installed on your computer or a virus due to which the mouse freezes. If, in case, the keyboard works even though the mouse is stuck, try changing the USB port or try a different mouse. Please revert back with any other observations. Good Luck
