Question about Micro Innovations KB1045LSR Keyboard
For the first two days the keyboard and mouse worked perfectly. On the third day though the mouse just stopped responding. All five buttons on the mouse work, but the cursor just wont respond. I did the regular, change the batteries, re install the drivers, restart windows. Only progress I had was I tried different mouse pads. One of the mouse pads has a sticker, and only when I go over the sticker do I get small flickering movements from the cursor.
I take it that you have a wireless mouse.
Myself I prefer the ones that plug into the console.

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

While you are in the operating system, unplug both the USB devices, then plug them back in, let windows recognize the new hardware and install it for you, this can take a couple of minutes, once it says hardware is installed and ready to use reboot the PC and see if you can use the keyboard and mouse while in the OS.
please post back with any more problems
Good luck and thanks for using Fixya!!!

SOURCE: The usb antenna
It is curently working. At the time I did not have the wireless mouse (part of the same set) with me; ...And I had a USB mouse plugged in.
Once I brought the laptop up with both pieces (mouse and kb,) the connection was fine. One issue, I believe, is the tolerance of the fit of the antenna into the usb port. It is a little loose; I'd like to see a snugger fit. This laptop is move daily, so the device is unplugged and plugged several times daily. That's a lot of wear on both the port an the cheaply made antenna. In fact: The entire package is rather "light" duty.. OTOH: I've ha it for two years now. The original antenna was funky and the company sent me a replacement pronto at no cost. Great people. I'd pay more for a heavier duty set.
Do have issue however. Am running Kaspersky AV...and it did not likthe driver download. I told the app to ignore it...and now have a "riskware" (2 instances) showing with no clue how to remove it. I also downloaed a free PDF converter, but haven't installed it yet. Those are the only downloads...so I don't know what the risk is so I can remove it.
I like a pristine computer and this is driving me nuts.
