Question about Husqvarna Viking 1
I did a Monogram this afternoon came out beautiful. Went to stich something else and the unit is jumping around. The machine stitches allother stitches beautifully. I am wondering if the embroidery unit is bad. I have had the machine for over 15 years and have not used the unit extensively. Pulled it out for the first time in five years to make Xmas gifts and now it does not work!
Very frustrating to say the least. has anyone else had this problem?

I am sorry to inform you that Husqvarna # 1 embroidery unit does not fit onto the Rose machine. The terminals on the Rose is upright, while on the H # 1 it is flat. If you want to do embroidery on the Rose, you will have to purchase the embroidery unit.
Sad but true

SOURCE: How do I change the stiches?
You can do all of these stitches by using different combinations of your stitch selector, stitch width and stitch feed knobs, for instance, on the panel I can see on your machine:
Stitches 1, 2 & 3 are straight stitches, centered, left and right. Really basic stuff, not different stitches at all. 4,5,6,7 & 8 are zig-zag stitches of different widths. 9 is the widest zig-zag (no. 8) on a finer stitch length, etc...
I think you should try and get an instruction manual for your machine. After a lengthy search of my usual manual sources, I've determined that that this may not be so easy. I think you should contact White on their 800 number and let them try and help you... 1-800-331-3164.
If you found this helpful, please vote generously as I receive nothing other than acknowledgement for my time.

Check that twin stitch width safety is not turned on in the SET menu (use More button at bottom of first screen to access third screen).

You have selected the Stretch Stich (SS) mode on the stitch length regulator, just turn the knob around until you have a number 1 - 5 and that should be it.
The model number will be the last digits on the metal compliance plate with voltage etc.....looks like:
V / 1234 / 123454321 / 2016
This then would be a Model 2016

you have your thread tension too tight that's why it is pulling the bottom stitch all the way through it looks good from the bottom but not good on top. Its pulled the stitch all the way through the material.
I had my own upholstery shop 18 yrs and tension gets you every time.Just loosen the top tension.
