Re: What do you think is wrong with my laptop?
Did you keep your laptop with you the entire time? Remove battery and plug in the power and see if it will come on.. If that doesn't work remove the battery for 15-20 minutes and then see put it back in plug it up and see if it works this time. If not the Airport might have been too rough with your baby...

If you have to ask, i think it will not be easy. And be aware there could me more wrong then just the connector. there is a (flat?) cable, and a battery and some logic. If you don't have skills to repair electronic equipment, please don't start. You could damage more then you like. Ask a skilled person to ell you.
I presume you have a Windows 8 operating system.

You might have to replace your disk drive because there may be something wrong with the laser that reads the disk even Tho the computer registers the device as normal that only registering the device drivers and the connection between the device in your computer it does not register it is something wrong inside the device other then the connection this sounds are there something wrong with the laser light on the disk drive hope this helps
ok, after reading i noticed that the computer cant find anything, not even the keyboard which is why f1 doesnt do anything, none of the controllers are registering, im beginng to think the mainboard in the laptop is dead. the main thing is the cmos error, usually when that happens the battery for the cmos has died, but even if we put a new battery in there is the possibility the keyboard wont work......so the first thing is to replace the battery, not the laptop battery but a small watch battery inside the laptop, are you able to do this yourself? if not can you take it to someone who can? The CMOS checksum error is the first problem thats on my mind.
