I tried Logitech's driver for a QuickCam Express. The driver worked, but Logitech's software could not find the camera feed. I uninstalled the Logitech software and used Labtec's last iteration of their software. This worked for mine.
download includes the Logitech webcam drivers, bug fixes, support for
Windows 7, newer Logitech webcam releases and a new software interface.
This is the full release including the webcam driver, but does not
contain any third party applications. If you are not having any problems you don't really need to upgrade it.
Use the drivers and resources cd to install the device software... Problem should be solved.
If u r not able to find the camera interface, simply open Program Files, select the device's software(probably including the Philips in the name), and run the executable file. Don't forget to create shortcuts. Note: The camera interface would also be located in the start menu.
The solution is simpler than you think.
Provided you have internet connection, look at the brand name of the webcam and go to that website.
You can google search the brand name first (recommended). then look for the official website of the brand name. Then do the following:
1) find and click on <support>
It may be in small print or in plain sight but at top
or bottom of page depending on website design.
2) look for and click on something similar to
" downloads" or "software support" or " drivers"
Ultimately, what you are looking for and need is called a "driver". This is software the interfaces and makes it possible for hardware to be recognized by the O/S
You should install the camera driver and after that, configure your skype to use your camera as default video device. You can do that in the skype interface. Make sure also that there is no other software running that uses the your webcam like camera manager or else.
plug in your webcam
in the system tray you will see a icon indicating new hardware detected, then install the software..
if your computer is not recognizing the device plug into the other USB ports ,stil not detected there is a problem with your webcam
