This works, and comes from a Comcast employee.
To unlock the volume control and power button on your Comcast remote:
1. Press and hold SETUP until the selected mode key blinks twice, then
release SETUP.
2. Enter 9 - 9 - 3 and then press VOL+ once. The mode key will blink four
times confirming unlock.
3. Now, volume controls for all devices can be independently controlled in
their own modes.
When you adjust the volume using the Comcast remote, the volume bar will appear
in white at the top of the screen. If the max volume isn't loud enough, use your
Sylvania volume control to max it out-then the Comcast can be adjusted from there.
