Re: Problem with my cam
You do not need software for this or any other camera Windows XP can cope very well on its own.
Plug in the camera. make sure it is switched on and set to upload.
Windows will put up the picture and scan Wizard and ask what you want to do with the images
Take it from there

There must be a software of some kind on your PC that modifies those pics in some way when you connect the cam (or maybe u edit the pictures :) ). If any picture on the cam is edited and saved, the cam will not detect those pics again.
Blinking light means your computer still in process reading your data from memory card. Higher capacity of memory card would make the computer need longer time to read it. Just be patient and don't unplug the USB cable. If you think its too long, then you can unplug the cable data, put off the memory card and open in via card reader so you can download your pictures to PC.
Consider NOT connecting the camera to the computer.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.
PLUG CAM TO PC ...TURN ON CAM found new hardward wiz comes up choose pick driver from list, choose generic on left/imaging device on right;find new drive under"my computer"double click folders and sub-folders until pics show up...enjoy Ron L
If you are not able to transfer data from comp to card. Well what you can do is you can take out the memory card and fix it into the card reader (you will get a card reader vey cheap anywhere.). and connect it to your comp.
Now your card will work as a flash drive and you can transfer data easily then... But some pics have higher resolution than your cam,so pics may not be visible on cam's LCD OR it may show pics are not compatible
Hope this helps you out.. :)
no disc for these cams...should be able to view pics straight from SD card thru a card reader to pc...(may have to go thru START..MY COMPUTER...LOCATE DRIVE CARD READER IS DESIGNATED AS.... also should be able to view pics on tv thru video cable attached to cam.
go to manufacturer's website, find cam, and download the manual to find out. That's the first thing to do. On your cam, you may have an icon of a trashcan. Press it and see what happens (you usually do this while you're looking at the pics on the LCD). Most of the cams I had gave me the option to delete all the images on the card or to delete only the current photo (the one on the LCD). You may be able to open the memory card on your computer (the way you got the photos to put them on a disk), select all the pics, and delete them.
this is not at all a big deal.it's very simple. solution 1: connect the cam to your computer and open the folder. leave it for 2 mins and then view the pictures. solution:after opening the folder, copy all the pics without viewing.Copy to some location in your computer and you can view the pics there.
this happens because of the size of the memory card of your cam.if the size is large and pics are completely filled, it takes some time to sync.nothing to worry.
