PROBLEM SOLVED for my C-14! The infra-red LED used to detect when the basket is full was weak. This was tripping the door ajar warning indicator. Replaced with a new IR LED from Radio Shack and problem solved!
If this 2nd LED fails, then the problem is too much drive current causing the fail. Will then have to change the LED resistor. Will update here if I ultimately need to change the resistor.

Have the same problem with my C14 too. Door switch replacement didn't fix. Replaced all filter caps on the controller PCB and didn't fix either. So problem is not a bad switch or motor noise.
Now investigating IR LED that detects full bin as the culprit.

1) Door may be out of adjustment 2) Defective P.C. Board 3) Shredder not sitting properly on cabinet. Try to adjust the shredder on the cabinet or carefully adjust the door. Call for a service call if neither cause the light to go off.
