Question about Thermador PSC364GDZS Gas Cooktop

Old Thermador cooktop continues to spark even after turned off

I have an old Thermador gas cooktop with 4 gas burners and an electric griddle. When you turn off all the burners the igniters all start firing and won't stop unless the large burner is lit. If you lite any of the other burners it does not help. Only the large burner turned on will cause the igniters to stop sparking.

Sounds like you have a bad switch. maybe on the large burner.. some of those switches can be replaced without the whole harness.

Left burner not lighting

Could be the igniter isn't sparking, sometimes they get cracked and run to earth you will still hear it click. Remove the top plate and check the wiring and igniters, turn the lights off and you will see if it's sparking all over the place.

Thermador Gas Range - Griddle ignition will not spark

I have a Thermador Gas Range PG364GDBS - Oven, 4 burners, and center griddle. All are gas. The four burners and gas oven work fine. The griddle just stopped working, no spark. Turning on the griddle control, the gas valve opens(hear it), gas flows (smell it), but the ignitor will not spark (no loud or faint spark that I can hear). I got a replacement ignition device (mount at the burner) thinking it might be the problem, but still no spark. I checked the AC voltage at the terminal and measured 39 VAC between the terminal and ground. Not sure if that is the correct voltage. Any insights or advice would be great.

Thermador PCS364GDUS griddle needs cleaning.

Wear gloves, put all items in a garbage bag. Put outside and spray a can of easy-off oven cleaner on all parts. Seal bag and let sit for 24 hrs. They should come out looking new after you rinse them off. After you wash them off, put them in a 300* preheated oven for about 30 min to ensure they are dry.

Clogged burner on gas cooktop

lowly is it the left burners that won't lite? I only ask as depending on the model some of the Thermador cook tops had simmer control burners. This is a 3 part system on the burners. 1 a simmer control, 2 electric solenoid, 3 potentiors. When you turn on the burner the potentior tells the simmer control to send power to the gas solenoid. At the same time the unit will spark. If your unit has extra low on the left 2 burners then you have this system. The usual problem in the potentior. Hope this helps.
