I can change the dashboard light bulb, but the gear shift light bulb, I have to remove the console box which is too tightly connected. I am afraid to break the plastic joint part. Does anybody know what is the best way to disconnect the center console box in order to get to gear shift light bulb?

This is a known failure item. Take it to a dealer & have them replace it under warranty. I personally have changed 20 or so. The replacement boxes seem to have been upgraded, and do not display this issue any longer.

That is a very tough bulb to replace. Once you get the center console pieces out of the way there should be a couple of screws or blots that hold down the trim around the gear shift. Remove those and lift gentley. You will barley be able to access the bulb. but it can be done.
Detach the heater core hoses at the firewall. The two black hoses attach near the firewall on the passenger's side of the engine compartment. Squeeze the hose clamps on the end of the hoses with pliers and slide the hoses from the heater core tubes.
