HP PCS 2510 Scanner module keeps running

The scanner on my all in one seems to have malfunctioned. After I had attempted to scan, it just got stuck scanning in one spot towards the end near the keypad. Even though I have unpluged the power and plugged it back to try to ''reset'' the darn thing contiues to do the same. The buttons do not respond or they are delayed for a prolonged period of time. If I hit the power button while it is stuck scanning, power down will take more than a min or two. HELP!

Step 1: Unplug all in one printer scanner power plug and USB plug. unplug power adapter from wall wait 30 seconds

step 2: plug power adapter in to wall leave usb unplugged.

step 3: Press and hold # + 3 for partial reset then plug power plug in to Printer till the words Partial Reset appear.

this should get you out of the trapped scanner bar. that 5mm high ring fix is just pure nonsense its been tried and debunked as a fake fix. if steps one through three do not work. try leaving it unplugged a few days. if that don't work seek professional help.. or buy a new printer scanner

Please follow my steps:
1. Make a ring, which is 5mm high and 1/3 cut so that it can be mounted at the far right end of the rail bar where the scanner module sliding back and forth. This can help get the none-stopping scanner out of the trap!
2. Do the Semi-Reset opreation. Then you can see the healing result!

Scanner on my hp 2510 photosmart all-in-one is not working when i start go up to the end right of the prenter and and make a nize then nothing work

This is a problem in scanner section on your printer. You need to disassembly the printer and pull out the scanner section.Open the cover of scanner section and you'll see the mirrors inside. You need to clean the ash from these mirrors using cloth which leaves no hairs.
WARNING! If you don't have a technical skills don't try to do anything.
If this not help you need to replace the scanner section.

Scanner doesn't work

If you've tried the printer on different PCs and still didn't work looks like there is something wrong with the scanner internally. When you start the scanner fresh, the scanning light has to move up and down the glass if it doesn't may be something is stuck on the mechanism open it and check for lose cables or dirt. Other option will be that If you bought it on the last 11 months try send it for "Manufacturer's Warranty Repair" you can call HP costumer service and ask them where you can send your unit for service, make sure you use a traceable method and keep records. Or take it to the nearest dealer and have them look at it.
