Motorized hot wheel cars

We bought our kids some motorized hot wheel cars this summer, and i was just wondering if it would ruin them if they could sit outside during the winter since they are not being used?

Remove the batteries, and all should be fine. the parts that arent plastic are galvanized metal. Should be ok. Think about covering with plastic or tarp to keep water out and forming ice cracking the plastic.

98 silverado ac blower only blows on high after it froze up after ice storm /motor or switch bad?

Sounds like the resistor pack on the heater case needs replacing. That's how you get lower motor speeds. Unplug it, remove it, and look for broken wires on the little pack. Some water or ice probably got around it and ruined it, giving you that smell of burning wires. Ice and water must have come through outside air recirculation passage.

What motor oil weight should I be using on my 96 olds 88....we live where the winter temps can go as low as -10 F and as hot as 95F in the summer

5w 30 or 10w 30 during the winter. After an oil change... check your oil after 200-300 miles of use. Is the level the same? If so your weight is fine. If it drops, it's to light of an oil and your engine is now "drinking it" like fuel, move to a heavier weight. As far as Changing between winter and summer. Changing Oil weights is not bad for your motor so if the winter you go with 5w 30 and it works, great, shoot for the same during the summer. If it seems to "drink it" during the summer using this weight, go up to the next (10w 30)

That being said. Changing from natural oil, to synthetic, back to naturual , or vice versa... swapping back and forth between these KINDS of oil has been known to cause damage. so whatever weight you decide on, stick with one "type", natural or synthetic.

Hard to start in hot weather

Start looking at temperature sensors and maybe even the thermostat.

Same issue but how do I get the cover off the indoor unit?

do u have water draining on the outside wherever they ran the drain lines from each unit? if not , maybe they werent pitched correctly and are overflowing, those units have a tiny drain pan and must be pitched correctly on the install. Call a different contractor to check it out! And only during the summer because those units, as any AC does, remove a great deal of humidity, it isnt that humid in other seasons.

2002 Lancer 2002 A/C won't kick in at hot weather temperature during the Summer in Texas. It works perfectly at cooler temperature such as morning or cloudy day. The A/C also work while engineer is hot...

Okay, here are a few possibilities. First, they do make a High performance freon and carry it at Autoparts stores. Second, moderation. All A/C systems have a low pressure cutoff switch and a high pressure cutoff switch. You want to stay below the high limit. Freon is a gas and will generate more pressure when the outside air is hotter. The switches run $20 to $40 each. It may be possible to change to different pressure numbers without blowing a hose. You old switches could be weak.

Hot Upstairs

A good heating guy should be able to balance your dampers to increase the airflow upstairs. Keep in mind heat rises. 2nd floors are the hardest to cool. You may need to add more returns to pull the heat down the the evaporator so it can be cooled. If you are lucky you may be able to adjust your blower up to a higher speed. You may have to even add some more supply airs. Check with your local building inspector. He may be able to give you a list of contractors in your area that would be good for this type of problem. Good luck>>>
