Recently I have noticed that when I turn on my flat panel via the remote or the power botton, it is taking longer and longer to turn on. While waiting to turn on, the power light on the front panel is flashing every 3 seconds. Today I turned it on and it has not come on for well over and hour now. The power supply lights up as if it is recieving the proper amount of juice. I have tried switching outlets around the home. I have also unplugged the set for 20 minutes. There appears not to be a reset button of any sorts available. I have had the set for less than two years........please help!!!!!!!!!!
The power supply ballast board has 5 1000uf, 16 volt capacitors that fail(you will likely see them swelling, or leaking), These are common cap's.
This can either cause the backlight to not work at all, light temporarily, or display no picture, but still give you sound.
